- Here is the video of my very first purchase of amazing, the most sophisticated digital piano. I am a big fan of Yamaha products and I am very excited to be the owner of the Yamaha CVP-809 model. I love your enthusiasm! I was pretty excited when I got my little p515 but a CVP-809 Clavinova, is miles above it. Even with my little speakers, the CFX and Bosendorfer sound great! Congratulations. It’s like Christmas for a kid!!!! Thanks for posting.

i was sooooooo excited when i got my ydp 164 two weeks ago , it was my first hi end digital piano , when you get a piano you think you're the happiest man on earth , you just forget everything and think about it , can't w8 to play the cfx itself

Albert Wagner U R dead right the Genos IS ALSO BRILLIANT as are all their instruments. I’ve currently got a STUNNING Genos though in a few years I may sell it and get a CVP-809 when the price has come down. How are you getting on with your 809?

BEST YAMAHA CVP 809 VIDEO EVER. YAMAHA needs to give you something awesome for doing this video. I love Yamaha also. I have a Yamaha Fz6 Motorcycle that resembles the BMW bike a bit. And I have a Yamaha MOTIF XF8 & the new MONTAGE 7. Have the same Yamaha keyboard you had there can't even remember who I gave it to.

Gratz Albert. Hell of a upgrade. My last Clav was the 70 I think back in mid 90s. I use a Roland Fantom X8 and a Yamaha Montage 7 in my studio. Big fan of Yamaha piano sounds for sure.
I only had Casio when I was younger, but like I said I am a Yamaha guy
@@lucent62 My first keyboard was an MT70 in 1984. I did one other Casio twice, a HT3000. The HT3000 was under rated IMHO. But, having played a Yamaha CP70 on tour, then at least one other actual white grand piano, I am a fan of the feel and sound.

Hi - thanks for posting this.
I've had a CVP105 since the year 2000 but decided to splash out and replace it with a CVP809. It's been on order for 4 weeks and the music store (50 or so miles away) arranged for a haulier to deliver and install. But they cancelled the delivery twice because of COVID-19 issues.
I'm pretty useless when it comes to putting things together but after watching your video (many times!), I decided that I would collect the piano and put it together myself - which I have now done successfully. They're a bit heavy, aren't they?
And I collected it just before the UK went into lockdown and banned all but the most essential of journeys so, had I not done that, I could have been waiting weeks (months?) before delivery.

I bought a 609 on a good deal when they came out with the 709. This one looks like mine with the screen and everything. I'm sure there are a lot of things they've added to this one. I'm sure you've enjoyed playing it.

Congrats for buying CVP 809. I wish I had a lot of money to buy that thing, but I'm poor now and I can't buy any instruments now. But I love playing music. 😭

@@lucent62 I have an old Yamaha keyboard and digital pianos. Sadly, some of my components were broken and old. I wish I could buy a Yamaha CVP 805 because it's cheaper but lacks super articulation 2 voices, effects, and some voices. But still, worth it for me. I hope I can afford a Yamaha CVP 805 this year or another year.
Awesome video!! I love piano so much and it’s my favorite instrument and i play on a Yamaha PSR300 keyboard. I’ve always wanted a Clavinova CVP809 so bad but my dad doesn’t have $7,400 laying around 😂😂 it is so cool seeing someone play it and as well as you! amazing video! i stumbled upon your channel and i am a Yamaha fan too when it comes to pianos ! Casio...not so much! it’s a really cool piano ! i’m glad you like it!

I'm about to order a CVP-809 but I'm not sure about the color: Matt black or polished ebony (which is more expensive).
What is the color of your CVP in the video? It looks gorgeous.
Yes they do have option of 2 models it's your own preference, I chose Matt black , ebony polish is about $1000 more . Good luck with yours .thank you for watching my video .
@@lucent62 Thank you for this video. Considering you have the Matte Black, and played on the Polished Ebony in the store -- Are you still happiest with the Matte Black? I am trying to decide if I'm ok with the notable grain appearance in the Matte Black. In general, I like the principle of it being fingerprint free, compared to the shinier Polished Ebony. The Ebony sure looks smooth and clean, though, from online viewing.
Both colors are beautiful. I do have black Matt, and I love it

The base PIANO ONLY sound it's exactly the same as 7 years ago clavinova I've tried... It was a clavinova 300 something.

@@lucent62 congratulations again on your purchase, im jealous, of course, because it is a top piano with many possibilities which I cannot afford, but as I've said, I feel like they (yamaha) don't improve over the years the base piano sound as it should, comparing to a VST piano...but overall its 10/10 a most worthy purchase!!

After seeing how long it take to start, i will never buy CVP. Will go for CLP, instant starting. Click-start! 3 seconds. Boom! Same sounds, same mechanics, same technology.

It was a lot of money but I thing it's worth it .
@@lucent62 With this price tag, I would expect 3800 voices, 1650 styles, and 650 effects and still not enough. I would buy tens of sample library bundles and thousands of virtual instruments for two years. And yet ONLY the white keys are wooden?
