Yes, it's our tax dollars going overseas to fund war, whether we're for their cause or not. Even if there were designated pots of funds for causes outside the US, when the US is in the dire straits we are now (militarily, economically, etc.), those funds should be pulled back into the US. So as far as the taxes under Trump vs Biden: The tax code to my knowledge hasn't chabged under Biden. When Trump changed the tax code he celebrated giving everyone a tax cut, but the tax cut for most brackets were short term and the higher income brackets (the wealthy) were long term. So the tax cut for the wealthy is still in place, but our taxes went back up, and now ot feels like its under Biden.

When we give funding to other countries, we can kind of make sure that they use it for what it’s allocated for, but then that frees up money on their end which, in the context of Ukraine, is often used to buy political influence.
Directly or indirectly, this is roughly how politicians get away with money laundering.
I'm pretty sure the UK is one of the few countries in NATO that does actually spend their committed 2% of GDP on defense

In comparison to our taxes, there’s very little money that does not come from the tax payer, ie. government trade. So yes, about 95% of all money government wastes is from our pockets. As far as homelessness, many of them choose to be homeless and then many of them are addicts and/or mentally unstable and just can’t sustain themselves. So my question is, if you gave all of them a good job, a home, a car, mental health care and substance abuse treatment… what percentage would maintain that lifestyle? I’m not saying we shouldn’t try, but I believe a very small portion of that 100 billion would actually help the homeless. That money should go to US infrastructure, our national security and disaster relief. Also, I happen to be a political science and economics major but so are many of the idiots in Washington wasting our money and lying to us about how and why they waste our money. An argument form a position of expertise especially when it comes to politics and economics doesn’t necessarily mean “truth”

There is always room for improvement but know that it may take decades to effectuate the changes we seek. In our "I want it now!" Veruca Salt-esk culture we have no patience for the slow pace of governmental change, but that is why we, as citizens, need to be actively pushing our representatives and letting them know that the status quo is not acceptable.
100% of our taxes pay a fraction of the interest on the loan they get renewed every year . Technically we don't pay our government . A foreign bank does . We passed the point of no return decades ago on the federal debt .

Unlike every other company or person who budgets governments don't stick to them or have any liability for over spending.
The problem isn't Ukraine, they haven't increased military spending all that much it's just they keep sending old shit already paid for to Ukraine. Still has a dollar value, but the real cost is coming from increasing ammunition production etc which is mostly a repsonse to realizing we aren't prepared for a real war. The military complex is the problem, complaining about using the stuff you spend so much money on already isn't really worth being angry over.
Assuming ukraine is an allie, funds are set aside for defense. However, money gets pulled from other accounts to make up the difference.
Example: the IRS will come at you with fines and legal fees for being a dollar short but refuse to give you a receipt showing what you're paying for.

Witch is an incredible accomplishment for a country... too bad it'd take 8 years straight of dedicating every single tax penny of that staggering figure to the national debt while ignoring every other responsibility to pay it off.
Homelessness is also a very interesting issue while we have a welfare state. A vast majority of homeless people are there voluntarily, and I don’t really blame them. They don’t pay taxes on anything except sales tax, they can take advantage of average good-hearted people that think giving money will put them in a house, etc. If every person that thinks giving money to homeless to home them stopped, the opportunists would be off the streets and then we could care for the actual downtrodden.

Inflation wasnt getting worse while Trump was in charge. Our currency has increasingly inflated every year since December 24th 1913. The day we got the Federal reserve, irs , and income tax. Then it spead up more when Nixon took us off the gold standard. Then they went ham when Biden got in. Nearly half of all American money ever printed has been printed since 2020. Each dollar you have is worth about half what it was the day before Biden took office.
Ukraine the military aid is authorizing the release of military equipment is military equipment surplus, and the US does have a huge amount, but you have to authorize it of the sheets. Don't worry, America is upgrading its equipment so it is being replaced. Just politicians have screwed everyone.. also Europe has stepped up they have sent F18s tanks and also the majority of Ukraine idsp have been absorbed by Europeam countries which are in the millions. Zelenski is pretty upfront. With regards to inflation it is a lagging indicator . It is from xrap that happened 4 years earlier then you way in other factors like supply lines Saudis messing with oil China shut down for 14 mo ths a pandemic etc. I hate it. I pay taxes, property taxes, etc and earn 40k gross a year. But if you didn't pay them your life would be unrecognizable. I am glad he is asking the question. You want change then find your answers. We are under zero obligation so send money to anyone else in the world. Every dollar could be spent here but they’re purposefully trying to reck our economy for “equality” because they think we shouldn’t get to keep all of our wealth. Also our tax dollars that we pay through income don’t even cover the cost of the interest we owe on our debts owed to the Federal Reserve Bank(which is a privately owned bank) and all other money is borrowed with interest. So every dollar sent to Ukraine, spent on welfare, spent on social security, ect, is all borrowed from the federal reserve which we will have to pay back with interest which is why the dollar is becoming increasingly worthless. We are Weimar Germany 2.0

Our tax dollars don't go directly to Ukraine but they do in a roundabout way. The government prints billions of dollars to fund wars and line the pockets of their wealthy donors by way of legislation that benefits the elites, then our taxes pay the interest on the massive deficit spending that they're addicted to. This is problematic on numerous fronts besides just the taxes we pay. The massive money printing is just monetized debt that drives down the value of our dollar and drives up the price of goods and services. Inflation is a hidden tax on the poor.
