  • Hello! Today we will service the wheels of our bicycle. Most of our customers' bikes ride on wheels with loose bearings.
In order for our favorite bike to please us for a long time and ride well, we need to regularly service the wheel hubs.
I'll show you how to disassemble a bicycle hub and wash it properly.
After cleaning, we can inspect the bushing bearings; if everything is in order, then we can reassemble the bushing.
But before assembly, you need to lubricate the bicycle wheel bearings well.
Video without spoken language, enriched by technical audio cues. Universally relatable; presented in a DIY video style.

Bel lavoro, complimenti! È possibile sapere che tipo di grasso hai usato per i cuscinetti (marca e nome)? Grazie

Grazie per il suo commento. Per il lubrificante, utilizziamo il grasso di calcio denso Divinol

Note from my side :) I think the screw thread should be cleaned of sand before turning

I've known people so fussy they did this every time the bike was exposed to water
    Both wheels and pedals
Is that white spirit? I hate using that, over here we have a product named "elbow grease" bright yellow and pretty cheap - also lemon fresh!
Water based and rinsable, make sure to rinse well it's caustic, then dry off and use WD40 to displace the rest

Thanks for the advice, we'll see. We wash very greasy parts with refined gasoline "kalosha", so I understand that the analogue is camping gasoline or coleman (camping) fuel, it has a more or less normal smell. For some tasks, we use sprays, but they are really caustic and better suited to old grease

@@NiceBikeService ah, OK, that sounds like "white gas" which is expensive over here about £10/litre, I'm supposed to use it in my Whisper lite stove, but regular unleaded is much more cost efficient as a fuel. There's solvent based water rinse degreasers out there but "elbow grease" is better - there was once a similar bike specific one "Dr X's Muc Off" it might still exist, but it was as pricey as white gas - elbow grease is ⅕th the cost and works better. Both elbow grease and Muc Off are spray on, brush in, rinse with water no need for immersion so you don't use much either, and no vapours
But it may not make sense outside the UK, solvents and especially alcohols over here are taxed sky high

Le siringhe vengono acquistate in una normale farmacia, mentre i beccucci vengono acquistati in ferramenta o nei grandi mercati online.
