  • Kia plans to globally debut the updated Sportage later this year, and in this video, we'll discuss the latest updates surrounding the launch, including our expectations.
At the 2024 Kia CEO Investor Day, it was confirmed that the new Kia Sportage will be released between October and December 2024. The new Sportage will feature significant design changes inspired by the 2025 Sorento, with a more angular front end and updated lighting.Interior upgrades are expected to include the Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) operating system with OTA with improved graphics and new features like the Digital Key 2.0.
The new Sportage Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid should also have an enhanced powertrain for better performance. The all-electric range is expected to remain at 34 miles, with a full recharge taking about 2 hours.
Expected to launch in South Korea late this year and in the U.S. by early 2025, prices should start at just under $30,000, for the hybrid and over $40,000 for the plug-in hybrid in America.

Kia is one company that is never out of action for too long. It's among the few companies that change the dashboard and metal panels during a facelift.
