Did this terrarium end up working out past a few months? I love the thought of tossing sphagnum moss in a terrarium with begonias, but wondered about an organic filtration like carbon/ charcoal. I also would have at least a thin layer of medium such as orchid mix or custom potting soil.
The humidity probably kept these things going strong. Is it still doing well? Thank you for the video!

I rotter a few of my propagations 🙈 I put them in a teeny plastic container with not enough room and got them too moist I believe but I’m trying again lol
Yes sam try again!! My begonias seem to love the high humidity containers. My fingers are crossed 🤞🏻I have not had any rot on me yet lol. But that was my fear because the leaves were looking a little moist. 🤣😂🤣😂

So, my begonias are in the nursery soil, mold started in the jar, would you rinse and add them to sphag?
What I have been doing any of my begonias that are not looking so good, I have been taking leaf cuttings of and Propagating them in sphagnum moss. I did take a piece of one that was in soil got as much soil off and stuck in in sphagnum moss as well.

Hey great video. Were your Begonias originally in soil before you transferred them to sphagnum moss ?
So I actually leaf propagated them. I cut the leaf at the base of the stem and stuck the leaf of the begonia in sphagnum moss and let them grow out for a couple of months. Then transferred them to biggers containers when they got bigger.

thanks for the video. is there a reason you used spag over soil. if using soil would it need to be altered in anyway for a begonia ?
Yes if you used soil you would 1st need to put little pebbles or stones on the bottom of your terrarium, the your soil medium. I used spag moss just for looks and it stays nice and moist.

I only open to fertilize them once a month but looking at it now I may add soil to them.

What is grow with noot?
Casey, Grow with Noot is an organic plant fertilizer. I really don't use it much but I figured for the spag moss terrarium the begonias would need some kind of food.

how many begonias do you have? which species?
I have a lot of begonias, I have cane begonias and rhizome begonias. The rhizome begonias I don't know all thier names. But i have all the cane begonias names in thier pots.
