honestly the first time I played the cuckoo, I wasn’t expecting much but I was amazed at how effective it was
What does the cuckoo do? More specifically the egg ability
@@dillanmorse6038 it spawns an 0/1 broken egg card in the spot opposing it if there’s no card there already, and since it’s a flying card, it won’t do damage to the egg which prevents the opponent from playing any cards there. There is also a small chance the egg is spawned as a raven egg instead.
@@dillanmorse6038 you can sac cuckoo to other higher DMG creatures, making the raven (if it spawns) becomes useless.

Feel like they could've given the moon the touch of death sigil and called it a grizzly moon. Would've made the ending of a hard challenge run such as a grizzly run more interesting.
Still would be beat with the same strats as grizzlys, but at least it would feel stronger.
even so, feecundity or undying would still solo the moon

FYI Sifd: for the all challenges run, key combos for consistently beating the bears without item reliance:
1. Field mice+corpse maggot ability (you literally cannot die as they keep respawning when killed so you just need to fill the board)
2. Any 1 blood unit with field mice ability+cockroach (farm bones by sacrificing itself infinitely and fill the board each turn using cockroach as sac)
3. Dire wolf 6/5 (or any 6 attacker with dire wolf's double strike)
4. Dire wolf 4/5 with field swarm support (dire wolf takes two turns to clear one line of bears while you shield the other 3 spots and turn 3 do 8 damage with wolf)
5. Poison on any side attack unit+any 5 attack card (poison kills the bear in front of the beater and you attack through without relying on items)
6. Any 5 attacker+pack rat (less reliable than the above, aim to get either scissors/clock/hourglass (with a 6 attacker) before the boss by farming items)
7. Alpha (just generally useful for setting up a lot of combos and increasing damage by 1 point to supplement the above strats where more damage is needed)
8. Bigbrain wildcard play - have a flyer with 5 attack/3 and double strike and STALL OUT UNTIL STARVATION COMES then attack over it FTW

For #1, you don't specifically need to get field mice and corpse maggots. Any method of getting both sigils will have the same effect.
You can additionally keep an eye out for other infinite unit opportunities, like insect or reptile fecundity totems and have bees (from a beehive) or tails (from a skink) or Gekkers (from geks) provide unlimited stall opportunities.
IIRC, I believe fecundity sigil on a skink also transfers the sigil to its tail, while beehives don't do this.
@@GeassX yes you're right about that and the geck tails get any sigil the geck has whereas bees can only get sigils from totems.
I used field mice specifically because it's easy to get corpse maggots on them compared to waiting for mushroom/totem opportunities. Also funny to see the bears lose to an army of autobattling mice

Seeing your previous playthroughs and this one, it is very painful to watch when you have a bone card and an infinite sacrifice loop yet you ALWAYS (edit: not always, he plays it when his hand only had few cards) ignore the existence of the bone card when you have enough bones and you need to play the bone card as a sacrifice to play stronger cards. Granted, you still win, but i cant bear the missed opportunity. Just a suggestion, i think what made you do that is you saying a bone card is meh or bad, then you just ignored them even when you had enough bones to play them at least for sacrifices, so just erase that thought from your mind so that you can scan your deck and hand then play without the aforementioned self-made bias. Black Goat sigil Ouroboros seems really strong, since you could infinitely sacrifice it and then infinitely bring it back into play without having to make a whole setup to sacrifice it. And then maybe a mantis god sigil as well

I think the max damage you ever need to do for the scale is 9, he's just optimizing for time sake.
Max damage needed for this was actually 12 so that I can clear 2 lanes with 1 double strike attack attack (6 to the front grizzly and 6 to the backline in both lanes) and then ouroboros survives 2 hits in it's own lane.
3 lanes won with an 12/12 Ouroboros!
This was exactly how I won my all challenges run. I also got an opossum with fecundity for even more stalling. Cuckoo is such a great card.

34:07 biggest misplay, could've played corpse maggot along with geck and squirrel and get an instant win.
I found a great use for the corpse maggot. Sacrifice it to bestow the sigil on the Urayuli (or any high cost card). Reason: You can reduce the cost of Urayuli to one squirrel (or any card) if you let it die by the opposing card. Hence reducing the cost to 1. However, only on your next turn will you be able to attack.
Love watching you play inscryption, the game is too easy for me now because of how much you taught me, can't wait for it to become a real card game
how could it be a balanced two player card game thats fun for both participants?
@@lyrebird5982 It would be extremely complicated but there would have to be game modes, it would also help if there was an online website for inscryption or an app which made it so that it randomly creates a map for you, and you have to follow it, the problem with making this two player would be that two people would have to do different maps (or the same map but have different items) and then maybe there could be a new map point which makes it so the two players get a chance to fight against each other. I would say this or the game would have to be layed out like dungeons and dragons in the sense the one player is a game master (leshy) and the other is the challenger. There are still many things you could pick at in my ideas that don't work but this is the best idea I've got.
I was thinking of a personal challenge that might be interesting to do, one trying to build an infinite sacrifice deck utilizing the red hart. It's pretty rng heavy since you need the right sigils. But it could be fun if you randomly get a red hart off the bat and decide to try it.
the one Card I hate running into is either Raven Egg or Raven. Cause they are so Hard to counter, and they in this challenge Mod, Leshy seem to have unlimit of them when I are on the last map before fighting him directly, which is Absolutely BS. 85% of the times when I run into an match where Leshy spawns in Raven Egg/Ravens I Lose.. cause I can't kill Fast enough before another spawns in behind the other one.
So yea, Raven eggs and Ravens are the Absolutely Most BS card you can run into in the normal fights. And don't even get me started on if its an totem Fight, then you just got to pray he doesn't have an Thorn, or stink one.. cause that will F you up HARD.

I just did an all challenge run. It's not too bad once you get your deck going, but the first boss is a bit of a wall if you can't instantly get by the grizzlies. I'm sure you'll have no troubles with it though.

The first time I played cuckoo I got the whole raven egg instead of the broken one and thought the card was trash until I realized that was the exception
Can i just point out the death that never happened to the wolf because the cuckoo's attack never went through before the mantis struck. The game lagged and wolf lived to see another strike, attack, and block.

At the beginning (cuckoo on mantis god is a pretty good idea)
You can infinitely sacrifice any card with tap + dual mice sigil and replace itself on itself, essentially making it unkillable if it doesn't die.
Step 1: Fecundity Cuckoo
Step 2: Keep your deck small, try to have it so that cuckoo is the only 1 blood cost card in your deck
Step 3: For each fight, get Fecundity Cuckoo in your hand ASAP, needs to be before the lanes fill up
Step 4: Fill up all empty lanes with a cuckoo egg, put down Fecundity Cuckoo then sacrifice it with another Fecundity Cuckoo

Sifd, I think you should consider finishing the painting puzzle to get the new backpack items before doing the all challenge run. That paintbrush item is just too powerful to ignore.

ok can we see what a Double Strike, Bifrocation (mantis sigil idk), and Trifrocation (mantis god sigil idk) all on one card looks like?
Trifurcated strike always overwrites bifurcated strike, and double strike just adds an attack directly in front. The three of them would do the same as Trifurcated+Double Strike and hit the three spaces in front like mantis god and then do one additional attack in front of it. (You didnt ask but bifurcated+double is effectively the same as just having trifurcated btw)
bruhhhhh. i mean i get it would be pretty unbalanced if it like, attacked twice left and right and then 3 times middle (accurately assuming tri and bi attack left and right, and then tri attacking 1 + double strike attacking 2 front)

I know he doesn't really care but wouldn't he been able to just farm Ouroboros with child 13 and field miced cuckoo? Like he couldve had like a 25/25 or a 40/40 Ouroboros if he wanted it. I know since its too fast too soon he essentially just made it where he would perfectly overkill the bears clearing out the lanes but I feel like he couldve just one shotted the moon or something if he wanted to.
Like he still played it expertly, but I would imagine even more farming wouldve just been golden
