- Quiet Riot performs "Metal Health" Live at the US Festival. "Metal Health" is featured on their breakthrough album of the same name. The song is one of their best known hits."Metal Health" was the band's second Top 40 hit, peaking at #31 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was ranked #35 on VH1's Top 40 Metal Songs. This clip from the DVD and CD release of "Quiet Riot - Live At The US Festival" is available at: www.shoutfactory.com/?q=node/1...
Quiet Riot was founded in 1973 by guitarist Randy Rhoads and bassist Kelly Garni under the original name Mach 1, before changing the name to Little Women and finally Quiet Riot in May 1975. The band's name was inspired by a conversation with Rick Parfitt of the British band Status Quo, in which Parfitt said he'd like to name a band "Quite Right", and his thick English accent made it sound like he was saying "Quiet Riot".

Lyrics:
Well I'm an axegrinder piledriver
Mother says that I never never mind her
Got no brains I'm insane
Teacher says that I'm one big pain
I'm like a laser 6-streamin' razor
I got a mouth like an alligator
I want it louder
More power
I'm gonna rock ya till it strikes the hour
Bang your head! metal health'll drive you mad
Band your head! metal health'll drive you mad
Well I'm frusrated
Outdated I really want to be over-rated
I'm a finder and I'm a keeper
I'm not a loser and I ain't no weeper
I got the boys to make the noise
Won't ever let up
Hope it annoys you
Join the pack
Fill the crack
Well now you're here
There's no way back
Bang your head! metal health'll drive you mad
Bang your head! metal health'll drive you mad
Metal health'll cure your crazy
Metal health'll cure your mad
Metal health is what we all need
It's what you have to have
Bang your head
Wake the dead
We're all metal mad
It's all you have
So bang your head
And raise the dead
Oh yeah!
Metal health
It's not too bad
Bad bad
Oh get your straight-jackets on tonight oh
Bang your head! metal health'll drive you mad
The bad boys are gonna set you right rock on rock on rock on
Bang your head! metal health'll drive you mad
Bang your head! - Hudba

If you didn't grow up in the era your opinion doesn't matter... The 80s was the most Metal decade ever..
You have this mixed up with cum on feel the noise and mama were all crazy by The Slade. But thanks for the bad condescension. (Also note the OP said 'ERA' which would cover part of the 70's, but it was mostly underground, unlike the 80's.
Ken Diaz U KNOW IT !!!!!
You don't need to have grown up in the era to tell it was the best for metal. I wish I had lived all that so badly
Whole decade of metal and bangin. My head is still banging 😆
First concert I ever attended was LA Guns opening for ACDC in 88
Not many bands sound this great live, respect
SLADE
So true,, Motley crue came out at the same festival Vince Neil sucked and the whole band acted/sounded like they were playing at a local bar.... Triumph rocked live too !
great? lol

Sounds great to me.
Solid performance
Here after learning of the death of Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali! RIP FRANKIE!
Rudy Sarzo deserves way more respect as one of the best bassists in heavy metal.
The best!! Hands down.
He’s a good showman horrible in the studio. That’s why he doesn’t get the love and isn’t on many recordings. Bob Daisley I blew him away
Uh? Chuck wright?
Im jus mad the crowd isn't yelling the bang ur head part like I do when I do dishes listening to this
@@adamphillips6747 Ah, makes sense. Some people and even some bands are just better live.
Wow... I have NEVER seen these guys live ever.. This was impressive and it is 2023! The 80's music never gets old. What happened to music?

They all got old and fat.
One of the most underrated singers of heavy metal.
R.i.p. Frankie Banali . He lost his battle with pancreatic cancer today.

Holy Shit, this Festival was fcking amazing!. Van Halen, Scorpions, Triumph, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osborune, Motley Crue and Quiet Riot played on the same day!... my god...!
They sounded so incredible live. Kevin's voice is in fine form here.
Can’t believe this was that long ago... where did the years go... dam I’m old.... lol 😝🤘🏼
Right here with you brotha
We may be OLD...but we know how to ROCK!!!
Age is only a number. Keep on rocking brother, and greetings from Sunshine Coast, Australia!!!
Papa Tony Ward those years probably went away about the time that you went from tony ward to papa tony ward😂😂. Yeah I’m old to. Honestly 1983 just dose not feel like it was that long ago.
With you brother!
Class of '86. It was a Great time to be a teenager. Cruising Main Street, Drive-in Movies, Arcades and the best part "no internet or cell phones".
14 year old me was so blown away when this album came out. Made me love the guitar even more. Cheers to Carlos & Rudy. RIP to Kevin & Frankie
Same 13 when this came out in 83.
Rip 🙏 to Frankie and Kevin!!! I remember as a kid, MTV was playing their videos constantly and these guys passed Michael Jackson on the billboard number one and stayed on top for literally like a year!!! First metal band ever to go gold then double gold and then platinum!!! True legends, and then the flood gates opened with Twisted Sister, Def Leppard, Van Halen, and Motley Crue as well with Shout at the Devil was super popular!!!!
Carlos Cavazo was a hell of a player. Definitely underrated
He's The Perfect Replacement for Randy Rhoads after he Died
Usually underrated is such an over used word but in this case it’s never been more true
The whole band is underrated.
R.I.P. Kevin DuBrow (1955-2007)

Kevin Dubrow is one of great vocalists of all time, in my opinion. I didn't realize it until hearing him sing in the Hear N Aid documentary. Such a great voice with power like few could master

GlassLegend# my ultimate wish 🙏🏽🤘🏽
GlassLegend# amen
Sometimes a concert can be too big! Shit front row was 100 ft away!
GlassLegend# no kidding.
YEAH!,...did you see the silhouette of that big ass pa behind the curtain on both sides of the stage!
nowadays you dont even get 1/4 of that! and it sounds like shit.
..... you gotta move the fuckin air, to move the people!!!!
"array pencil pa's" are shit, they dont have enough power and speakers to move the air. its just loud music with little to no sub banks, and when the band plays, you can almost talk over the music. sad. we have to pay hundreds of dollars for cheap simple stages, crappy pa, and in places in the arena the music is not as loud as in others. now its all about money and fuck the fans.
back in 1990 when I saw kiss slaughter and fasterpussycat, the pa was huge. and for a couple of days after, you could still hear "white noise", and you are run down, but it was worth the $22.50.....gen. admission.
When heavy metal ruled the world. The last and greatest party in this country. I'm glad that I lived through it and was right in the middle if it. A lot of wicked awesome memories.
Be good to each other and party on Dudes......................
SAME HERE BROTHER!!!!
This concert was the best ever line-up of Rock. I went w my brother and some navy buddies and we partied. Awesome!

I'm not just talking about just this concert, I'm talking about that whole decade. My wife and I hit concert after concert, party after party during those years. I can't believe we survived. Great memories.
Yes great memories. Wish I could live it again. Kids today will never know how it was back then. Love it!
BlzShop my wife and I did the same thing! The best outdoor venue in Ohio was Legend Valley in Newark Ohio just outside of Columbus! We go the day before and it was a giant party with about 50 thousand people there for the same reason! When you could see 3 or 4 bands like Motley Crue, Guns n Roses, AC/DC and all the greats for 19.95 a ticket!!! The kids nowadays have no clue what a true outdoor concert is! I've met so many great people and had some of the best times of my life, I miss those days! Ahhh the memories!
Without a doubt, his voice was pure gold.

It's fucking amazing how close this performance sounds to the album version!
Kynan's Music my same opinion. Guitar is almost identical. VERY difficult to achieve live.
Kynan's Music thats because now we suck at keeping tone and keeping vocals good now it is all auto tune
I was just thinking that man . Not many bands achieve that level of perfection live.I dont think Rudy missed a single note in his solo.Fkn perfection man.
I was there . Greatest time of my life.
I was there and just a young 20 years old... It was awesome.. and I will never forget it
That would be so memorable! Now a days all you see is cell phones up, back then was fist's. 🤘🤘
Had a motor home my uncle let us stay in for 4 days, Hoyt as fuck , pussy everywhere, weed, booze, Coke , yes all the fruits and veggies there, and nobody bitched, we partied like men, I only slept 5 hrs in 4 days, yes I lived it , great memory
I was there too. It was my 21st birthday and we had a blast. It was so hot but there were so many good bands that day it was worth it!
I'd just turned 22, couldn't believe my good fortune to live only a six hour drive away and only one friend wanted to go with me! Epic festival from beginning to end.
Rock In Peace Kevin!
2022 and I'm still banging my head. ❤️🤘
Wow, memories, I'm 50 now and I bought this album on cassette when it first came out when I was 14! 😱
Bruce Jones I totally agree with how amazing the music was in 1983! We were allowed to bring our “ghetto blasters” to school and I remember in grade 8 listening to this, John Cougars Jack n Diane and the biggie just after...Jump by VH!!! And there were so many more massive hits ! 80s and 90s were amazing eras for music in my opinion.

@@gogoyubari366 nobody thinks of him when they think of a top vocalist in rock and metal. its sad because he is underrated . they made a solid 4 albums and great songs off theother albums. hes literally one of the greatest of all time and on my list i pin him just behind dio and bon scott. very few can compare to his voice and lyrics. if it wasnt for him and randy rhoads metal would have fallen off in the 80s and punk would have went mainstream earlier. quiet riot did what the greatest metal bands couldnt in the 80s.. revive it. rip kevin dubrow
