Considering trying a camper van rental on outdoorsy here in New Hampshire in the spring. I really like the idea as someone who tent camps often, enjoys the outdoors/outdoor recreation, and my brother had built a van and lived in full time for almost a year before selling. I currently own a long term rental property and looking for more side hustles to fuel my real estate portfolio and could be a good learning experience leading to short term rental properties!

Great video! I live in Las Vegas as well and do a ton of camping around the area and make CZcams videos on these locations. I've been looking into buying a camper van to rent out on Outdoorsy as a side hustle so this video was super helpful. Glad to hear you guys have had good success in this market and also happy to hear you guys also offer management services for those who don't want to be hands on with renting these out. it looks liike you guys build out your own vans as well?

I honestly, think if you already like traveling and can use it for fun while also using it as a side hustle and have it paid for really works out great - especially since you're in Las Vegas where it's a solid market. While our speciality has been container builds over the last couple of years we've branched out to other unique small spaces. I have owned my travel trailer for 3 years now and lived in it for 1 year. These expensive travel trailers are built cheap.
I stay in hotels frequently and I see first hand of the destruction people do to them I can’t imagine how much destruction people can do to a cheaply built expensive travel trailer. The risk is to high in my opinion. I guess if you have a specific business plan that counters all the damage that’s going to occur you might be ok.

Sound great but for sure not cheap to do. You need Commerical Insurance. And they will not take something that not newer model. And can a 3rd party skip the driver and go after you and your other assets? Unlike a home this is moble

Hi! It’s a Dodge ProMaster 2500. It has a shower, toilet and kitchen inside along with a bed and sofa area. It sleeps two and goes for $200 per night in the winter and $300 per night in the summer.
Thank you for this video I live in coastal San Diego and was thinking of listing my brand new class B so I could quit my job and travel more when it’s not being rented. Do you think there’s a market here in Pacific Beach? Is there an option for renting it stationary in my parking space three blocks from the beach? I have power hook ups and could rent it for less I’m thinking and not have the risk of them damaging it like they did to yours so sorry to hear that.
SD I s a great market! You’ll need to check your local short term rental regulation for your property. They usually don’t allow it technically but if your neighbors are cool it may be worth asking for forgiveness later on it.

88 "Now this is the order of those who have kept the ways of the Most High, when they shall be separated from their mortal body. 89 During the time that they lived in it, they laboriously served the Most High, and withstood danger every hour, that they might keep the law of the Lawgiver perfectly. 90 Therefore this is the teaching concerning them: 91 First of all, they shall see with great joy the glory of him who receives them, for they shall have rest in seven orders.

99 This is the order of the souls of the righteous, as henceforth is announced; and the aforesaid are the ways of torment which those who would not give heed shall suffer hereafter." 100 I answered and said, "Will time therefore be given to the souls, after they have been separated from the bodies, to see what you have described to me?" 101 He said to me, "They shall have freedom for seven days, so that during these seven days they may see the things of which you have been told, and afterwards they shall be gathered in their habitations."
102 I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, show further to me, thy servant, whether on the day of judgment the righteous will be able to intercede for the unrighteous or to entreat the Most High for them, 103 fathers for sons or sons for parents, brothers for brothers, relatives for their kinsmen, or friends for those who are most dear." 104 He answered me and said, "Since you have found favor in my sight, I will show you this also. The day of judgment is decisive and displays to all the seal of truth. Just as now a father does not send his son, or a son his father, or a master his servant, or a friend his dearest friend, to be ill or sleep or eat or be healed in his stead, 105 so no one shall ever pray for another on that day, neither shall any one lay a burden on another; for then every one shall bear his own righteousness and unrighteousness." 2 Esdras 7:75

Outdoorz advertisement
Don't do it. Outdoorsy is awful. When there is damage, they pawn it off onto the renters insurance and make YOU chase all the work involved. Their "Protection Packge" is nothing more than more money in their pocket at the owner and renters expense.
