Would love a video on stationary campervans!!
I live in Las Vegas Planning to start full-time rv rental your info help a lot . I hope I'll see you one day in person for more thanks
That’s awesome to hear! It’d be great to meet.
would be great to see any pictures of your trailers...
Well let's see....
The average Van on Outdoorsy goes for $188 ish a night, not $300. Next, let's discuss insurance costs, maintenance costs and when to sell the unit, hopefully not losing a few thousand or more to depreciation. That's gonna show real numbers, not just claims...👍
Who do you recommend for financing? Many financing companies specifically say you cannot use it for commercial peer to peer rental
Nightly rates have dropped to 115, include outdoorsy fee, maintenance, insurance, you will not make any money. The high security deposit deters renters, you’ll be lucky to get one weekend in a month. You’re not going to make 50,000.
I found some RV/Camper rental plateforms will not except older ones over 20 years old. Does Outdoorsy or any other plateforms?
I live in Cali Santa Monica would travel trailers or conversion van rent out all year in that area? How much profit are you making on 1 unit a year?
What is the oldest conversion vans can you rent I seen a 1996 conversion van for rent? I heard 20 is max so how is that guy renting a 1995 or 96 out?
Do you deliver your travel trailers to renters or do you require pickup/drop off at your location?
Right now we just have our set up for pick up but we are considering providing an option for delivery as well.
I live next to a trailer park, they have all the connections for full sized trailers however, can I park an RV there?
Also, are these places normally OK with renting out to people through Airbnb or at least facility different?
I live in Virginia and have been renting for right at a year. It is time for me to expand and I wanted to see about connecting with partners and see that you could be a good potential partner. If you are interested please reach out. I look forward to hearing from you.
Is your Dodge a Class B?
Yeah, that’s correct.
Outdoorsy doesn't even allow you to see the rating of renters. You're essentially gambling with one of your most prized and high value possessions. Do you really want to spend your free time dealing with damage repairs from renters who didn't give a fuck?
There definitely is a level of risk when renting out outdoorsy. However, we’ve been really happy with everyone that we’ve been renting to. We require a large security deposit to help deter people from being reckless with it. The insurance policy also does a good job at covering any damage that happens to the exterior of the unit.
@Alternative Living Spaces I asked a support center staff how often do they receive calls from people about renters not returning the RV and they said 1 out of 20. Your $1,000 security deposit is not gonna cover the coss of a stolen RV and neither would your personal insurance.
