STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS AND DETAILS PROVIDED IN THE VIDEO.

Baked in a preheated 325 degrees oven for 1 hour to 1 hour 5 mins. Your baking time may vary depending on your oven.
INGREDIENTS I USED:
1 Box Duncan Hines Yellow Cake Mix
1 C All Purpose Flour
1 Small Box Vanilla JellO Pudding
1/4 Tsp Salt
1/4 Tsp Baking Powder
1 C Sugar
4 Large Eggs (Room Temperature)
1 1/2 sticks Melted UNsalted Butter
1 C Buttermilk (Room Temperature)
1 C Sour Cream (Room Temperature)
1/4 Tsp Almond Extract
1 Tsp Creme Bouquet

Donna I have always turned Box Cake Mix into homade taste. I just can not make my Pound Cakes from scratch. They do not turn out right. I wish I could make them like my grandma and you from scratch.

My mom is still a baker at age 95, and she worked for a famous bakery when I was a child. Years ago, she taught me how to make this cake with the box cake mix. I love it. I have never made a cake from scratch because she gave me this recipe. To me, it tastes just as good as a scratch cake. I used more eggs and I used milk instead of water. I also used butter instead of oil.
I do the same. I just add more sugar and flavor as well! 😏

It's nothing wrong with making a cake from a box I do it when I don't feel like making a cake from scratch although I can do whatever makes you and your people happy.

Donna, I love watching you bake. You are so right, lets celebrate our differences!! I love to bake and while I prefer to bake from scratch, sometimes I will grab a cake mix and when I get through with it, it's good. A cake box will never taste like a scratch cake, but as long as it is good, who cares!! Keep the videos coming, we love them!

Yes I do not add oil or water my box cake mix. I use butter instead of the oil and almond milk instead of water. Add other little hacks. But I am going to keep practicing Donna's recipes for making the Pound Cakes from scratch. I shall Conquer 💪 One day 😂😂🤣 The Pound Cake Queen's way to bake a Pound Cake from scratch.
First, let me say that I enjoy all of your videos, second, I started off making pound cakes with box mixes then transitioned to making them from scratch. I found that when I added flour to the box cake mix it helped it stand high like the ones from scratch. Lastly, you all are hilarious!!!! Your channel is the only one I can get my husband to watch! Keep up the great work.
I do box cake all the time it’s so good and moist, I use milk instead of water I use butter and oil I add Jell-O pudding mix in my. Yesterday I did a box Hennessy, pineapple cake I use the Duncan Hines pineapple cake mix. It came out moist and marvelous. I got seven orders after everybody taste 👅 that cake.

I’ve always made poundcake from scratch, and they always come out 100% but I do like my DH cake mix too. There is absolutely nothing wrong with using a cake mix. Box cake mix has been pre-formulated to work just right if you don’t want to make a scratch cake and I think it’s good both ways.

Being a cake decorator myself I use and tweak box cakes all the time depending on the cake and trust me when I tell you. It’s fantastic. When u go to a bakery or stores to order a cake at least 85% of these places use box cakes. Simply bcuz the demand for cake is so much that it would be costly and timely for them to even make money bcuz to bake from scratch can be expensive and most customers either won’t pay the price or can’t afford too. Ms Donna I love both of ur channels I learn a lot from from you ☺️

Hey now, Ms. Donna & Happy New Year to you & your family. I bake from scratch, however, I will use a box cake mix too. I love the Duncan Hines Golden Butter cake mix. I add an extra egg, milk instead of water, vanilla extract, vanilla pudding & real butter instead of oil. It's semi homemade. This looks delicious!
