I think the most practical use this has is blockout, placeholder or basemesh.
I think Markoms point here is how the tech is coming along, he’s not suggesting it’s up to snuff. This would be good for basic concept design, blocking out etc.
I worked in product development as a photographer. The process is very similar. The art department would send down the proposed product shot. We took there directs and made the initial set up. They ran down and made tweets and we shot the add. Hey it’s just another tool.

You still have to make it the way you want. You need to pose it add it to your project and render it and more. And that takes knowing how to use Blender.
Sure just install neurolink into ur brain and it will command ur body on how to use blender

Uh instant meshes tool works wonders also there's easy high to low poly baking plugins in blender ,so idk what ur yapping about

@@animeleek Yes, but no. First of all, you have to sculpt and shape the form. Alternatively, you could model it directly by connecting polygons. However, most professionals prefer sculpting. This process can take a lot of time. With this method, you can correct mistakes and immediately start working on other stuffs like texture and rig. Of course, there are still some flaws, but for creating props and minor characters, it's ideal.

@@animeleek I still recommend that you learn sculpting and modeling. This is only good for quickly creating small things. When it comes to detailed work like character design, it's better to create everything manually by hand because I'm also tired of AI taking over everything.

@@ivivince625 not yet, for production this shit has a long way to go. for renders or just for fun/sketching sure whatever but then again it depends on complexity of the model. If it is complex then you will probably better start from scratch than fixing all the mess the generator made.
For top tier 3d artists, they will have little to worry about. I've read that most of them generally don't model anything themselves, and act much more like directors than anything else. AI has yet to display any sort of high level artistic direction for large projects.
The guys who make cheap models on Fiverr or whatever are in danger however, especially as retopologizing algorithms improve or are no longer necessary (such as with systems like Nanite).
@@pixelricebowl that’s what I’m saying if outsourcing the complex chair you want to ai is easier cheaper and more hands on. Then the ai will win over a majority of 3D production soon. Bethesda isn’t gonna pay someone for small detailed assets they can get for free from the ai god

In my testing of it, I tried to make greebles and buildings, but it was not able to create what I needed. It still needs us to bring it to life.

The end result does feel a bit like the early days of publicly available photogrammetry, yes. And considering how that evolved over the last few years, it's gonna be crazy good soon.
Because the process is very similar to pg it starts off from image to point cloud then meshed and uved n textured earlier 3d generative models only allowed u to download the point cloud data before

First this is pure speculation, second if so journalists secretaries pstars psychologists accountants lawyers even med technicians are also done as 3D artists we are just those who cries the loudest and being most dramatic, and third there are still quite few law barriers to overcome if that suppose to happen, not to mention the tech would have to improve a lot, and everyone just assumes, that it will develop at parabolic rate and it's just not the only scenario, meanwhile we can have WWIII, or another cooked plague, or assassination of some AI creators by AI inquisition or just by unions - future is just unpredictable.
I would like to point out web design templates have been a thing for years. However, web designers are still a job. Things like this will probably be good for entry level things, small animation studios without large budgets, and things like that. After all even if it can create it you still need a 3d artist to build the scene. It's like getting a prebuilt door. You can install it sure and it works but sometimes there are issues. You will still hire a contractor to handle things.
