      Rami doesn't even look like Freddie, even with the makeup and prosthetics he barely resembles him. To be honest, he looks most like Freddie when he has the 70s Freddie look. Once he gets the mustache and short hair... meh. He doesn't even resemble him.
      Also, little complaint for the hair and makeup department, they got the hair wrong for late 70s Freddie, and definitely got the hair wrong for Freddie in the 80s. His hair wasn't that thick, and it wasn't just brushed back at all times.

      I think so too. One of the biggest criticism I had with the movie was basically that the movie was far too safe from Freddie's dark life, way too safe. And it took me out of the experience that they had to toned down something to make it PG13. Which is also the main reason I think Rocketman, an Elton John biopic is superior than BoRhap, it's brutally honest and it managed to take risk in what Elton was in his early career. Rocketman was basically what Sacha's plan for BoRhap. Eventhough I enjoyed BoRhap, I wish they took more risk with it

    I saw Bohemian Rhapsody, it was a fun and enjoyable movie, but a lot of historical inaccuracies that makes the movie a work of fiction rather then a biopic. I would have loved to seen Sasha Baron Cohen's version rather then Queen's sanitized version. There is a British documentary that came out a few years ago, with some acted out scenes, that is very good, that is the closest Queen fans will ever get to an honest portrayal of Freddie Mercury and Queen.
    One of Freddie's friends asked him in his last years how he wanted to be remembered on film, Freddie told him that they put anything and everything as long as it wasn't boring. There was no need to sanitize his life story.

    Why do Brain May and Roger Taylor own the rights to Freddie's biopic anyway? Brain May must be insane if he thinks a movie about Queen is half Freddie, half them now going on tour with Adam Lambert and putting Freddie's songs on every advert from sofa's to every other advert that has a Queen song on. How ridiculous. Sacha should work with Freddies family and do his own movie. The public want Sacha as Freddie!

    • @Davis30b
      @Davis30b Před 8 lety +39

      No one can own the rights to a Freddie biopic. However, they would need the rights to the music. Owners of Queen music rights would need to consent for a Freddie biopic to have their music in the movie. A Freddie biopic without the music would just not be as good.

We've had how many variations of Pride and Prejudice or Little Women over the years?? I've watched almost all of them and enjoyed them all in different ways. The only problem is that SBC needs the music for any version he does and if the band Queen won't sign on, then it's not going to happen. :(

      There were so many distortions and lies in the film - Freddie deserved a movie that at least attempted to portray his quick wit, warmth, kindness, strength and legendary stature.
