    Yet another incredible recipe - you guys have saved me since April!
    Question, is there a reason you guys always use green peppers? Is it just the flavour or is it a texture thing too?

    • @SchoolofWok

      We use red peppers too, don't think it's any colour for any particular reason in our videos! - Lee

    The stores here cut off the outside leaves of the cauliflower. My birds love to munch on what's left (sometimes the tiny ones in between the florets are intact), so I've never even thought of using them in cooking.

    Made this tonight. So easy, so fast, so incredibly tasty. My wife says she fell in love with me all over again... Although she was looking at the cauliflower bites while she said it...🤔

    I came back to say that I've tried this recipe this week and it's absolutely delicious! I've never been a big fan of sweet and sour but the way Jeremy goes about it makes a whole difference. Can't wait to try some new veggie/fish recipes. Thanks guys!

    Lee is right! When I was young we would go to the chip shop and ask for 'six of chips and scraps' (btw that's six penny worth, a bag of chips cost two and a half p in today's money). also good to see no pineapple in the s&s sauce

    Dont know if the soja like black spicy sauce you get at every asian restaurant here in germany is spread in other countrys too, but somehow it is a real struggle to find a recipe for that.

    • @anonymousperson2345

      You can use tomato sauce, sugar, and vinegar 😋

    • @JoshEssex123
      @JoshEssex123 Před 3 lety

      @@anonymousperson2345 ketchup is also known as tomato sauce in the UK. I believe tomato sauce is available in jars in the US and is a little thinner than puree?

    • @cyn4476
      @cyn4476 Před 3 lety +1

      Do you have a taste issue with ketchup/tomato? If not, you can use tomato paste. If you don't like the flavor, you may want to search for a type of sweet and sour that doesn't use a tomato flavor at all (there are some plum sauce type recipes that use pineapple and other ingredients for the contrast).

    I just did a sweet and sour chicken in my wok but it became more white than usual, like if it became less seasoned. Is this normal ? What should I do ?

    • @RICEKILLER
      @RICEKILLER Před 3 lety

      Try to add a tiny bit of dark soy sauce, like 1/3 tsb. It won’t change the taste much but mainly for darker color:)

    • @RICEKILLER
      @RICEKILLER Před 3 lety

      Nay Fen probably you were using an iron-made wok i guess? Vinegar did it to the wok. in that case, get it clean then lay the empty wok on high heat for 2-3 minutes till it’s really hot, then get a nub of lard or butter, (veggie oil also okay but traditionally we use animal fat)rub the wok evenly with a brush or something and let it cool down. Keep using on as usual, time will cure the wok😆 this process is what we do before start using a new iron wok.
