So you could absolutely polish the wheels to a high shine. Unfortunately being a cast aluminum wheel they won't have quite as much clarity. But if you have time and patience they will absolutely polish.

NICE!!! Also, once you get it back to clean, you could do what I do and CLEAR COAT (2 part URETHANE!)
Not sure it would last on a semi.
You could do ceramic coating or wax but it will last a week or two. It may to clean up easier if you clean it very often but wont last long
