- Aati kya Khandala....
A set of train videos captured in June 2014 at heavenly Khandala station which is undoubtedly a very popular tourist destination in Maharashtra. Apart from tourists visiting here to catch a glimpse of beautiful nature at various view points located at elevated regions, train lovers also have a special attraction here in form of a steep gradient just outside the station limits. As seen in the video, the trains from Mumbai to Pune on the first line (There are three lines between Lonavala and Karjat) have to climb the steep gradient. The trains from Pune to Mumbai (which use either second or third line) stop here for brake testing before proceeding down the ghats. The trains from Mumbai to Pune are being helped by the bankers(at the rear of each train) to assist them tackle steep gradients between Karjat and Lonavala. As seen in the video, all trains which are climbing could be seen with bankers which are in form of KYN WAG-5/WAG-7 twins/triplets.
I am happy to have visited this place especially when most of the trains were having diesel ALCO links.

Hi Rama
Can you tell me how did you reach Khandala station? By road or train
@@tyagrajan555 Hello. I reached here by train.. Most Mumbai bound trains stop here for brake testing and you can alight there..
