    I think the percentage of those trainers saying they do a body assessment of any kind other than using body measurement, fat and muscle percentage machines and devices are not really telling the truth. I have been with and watched several trainers and none of them, even NASM certified, started with an overhead assessment unless asked for by the client. In the fast paced world of working with clients, a trainer isn't going to waste time nor a client's interest and money if the clients goal is losing 50lbs or just wants to have fun in a group class... not there to correct their muscle imbalances.

      It 100 percent depends on what type of client you are meeting/working with, which is why having a Niche is a good idea

      I 100% do movement assessment (esp Overhead squat assessment) with every single client (except group class). Its part of the process in my gym. And guess what, by doing this and figuring out the problems and dysfunction of my potential clients, it helps me sell pt packages really well. Imo if u dont work on their muscle imbalance and postural alignment etc, ur going to set ur client up for failure and get them hurt in longevity.

    Constantly saying ahhh or ommm while speaking makes this difficult to listen to.
