I am on LNG, and I know cruise salary also. Cruise has much better offerings for all ranks. Most of us never explored this part of industry and kept on moving only towards tankers/gas ships.
I sailed on cruise as an second enginneer while watch pressure is so immense sometime its makes ur crazy ,contract is short 10 weeks on off , no shore leave frankily

People are co operative if you do your work properly and on time. So work life balance is there on cruise ships as a second engineer! Though I am not sure if it will be the same at the position of First engineer or senior First because there job involves more physical work. Hope it helps 😇
