This album is in my top 10 desert island list. The Love We Have the Love We had. Brenda Lee Eager and Jerry Butler. Fading into obscurity but well loved , so loved. Listening to this I'm 50 years younger.
PURE GOLD!! PURE SOUL!! So sad that music like this isn't made anymore.

I've never heard this version of The Dells song that has been covered by so may singers No one can top the Dells version, however Dru Hill took this Classic song to another level and I keep it on all my playlist next to The Dells song version now
Joss Stone version was epic that white Girl put some R&B mixed it with some Blues, Pop and smooth rock she made me love her version even though I was already a Joss Fan Jerry and Brenda did their thing as well ,so far no one has disappointed The Dell or Me 😂😂 R&B is amazing 💯💯💯💯💯💯💜💜

Great rendition of the immortal "Dells" original "standard"! At my age, I'm learning all the time (from when I first heard this as a child,)that
the old white male "crooners" (y'all know who I'm referring,) didn't dare touch these golden compos, nor allow them on the then "Standard",
or "Jazz-Blues" broadcast radio stations, now long bygone, of yore! Had they done so, many radio stations would still be extant today (though them old foegys white guys {Frank, Dean, Vic, etc., would still had been chewing rug)!!!
