Halloween Caramel Popcorn Balls -with yoyomax12

2 cups chocolate chips, melted
Halloween themed sprinkles
1 package (14 oz) soft caramels
3 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. water
12 cups popped popcorn (about 1 1/2 bags of microwave popcorn)
Melt the caramels, butter and water together on medium-low heat stirring occasionally.
Pour the caramel mixture over the popped popcorn in a very large bowl. Stir until coated.
Allow to cool until cool enough to handle.
Form into baseball sized balls and insert sticks.
Dip into melted chocolate and add sprinkles.
Place on waxed paper to harden.

I'm a bad YT friend. I will try harder watching videos. I guess I have just been off in my own world. These certainly look delish. Mom used to make us caramel corn at Halloween and it would be nice to start that up for Ashley's kiddos.
Once you put it in chocolate and sprincle put it in freezer or at least refrigerator it will harden much faster and look much better. Talking from experience

in the states they have caramel apple flavored witlon candy melts. not sure if michaels have them here in Canada

How much before serving should I make these?
You can make these a couple of days ahead of time if you like.
I can't have popcorn could you also make these with cereal? Like unsweetened cheerios or something?
