Iv had mine for 17years. It is the best car I have ever owned. Starts first time every time. Still going strong.

How many miles does it have?

I'm seriously looking to buy one for around 8K with a a bit over 120K miles on it for a clean and well maintained example. Only thought comes to mind is the maintenance since I am inclined to do some of the work that doesn't require me to pull out the engine from the bay.

I bought a 2001 Z3 new and put just over 300,000 miles on it with not much other than routine maintenance other than front end suspension replacement at about 200K miles and new catalytic converters at 250K miles (my mechanic's goal was to get 500K miles out of her). In 2019, I hit a deer that jumped out into the road during rutting season, she ran off but totaled the front hood, windshield, etc (insurance totaled rather than repaired). A month later, I fortunately found another used 2002 Z3 for sale with only 50K miles (it was garaged and weekend driver from Monterey, CA). I have put over 100K on her since and she still is amazing shape (body and mechanical). Putting over 22+ years and just over 400K on these cars, I can tell you they handle like a dream, 3rd gear over HWY 17 in the Santa Cruz Mountains is an absolute blast (accelerates quickly from 40-80 mph). I love that road. As stated before, I have never had to do any major engine work including not replacing clutch (I shift frequently, using brakes infrequently). If you get a chance to own one, you will not regret it.

2002 1.9 runs great I love it,minor maintenance obviously, only problem I still can’t stop is the common boot leak after trying all the tips etc on here and various z3 forums,so bought a custom roof cover and seems to have done the trick, but whatever size of engine your z is they are great fun to drive, nice vid by the way 👍🏻

Awesome! I’m glad you did the first generation z series. They’re really the best looking and probably the most fun to drive. I would love to drive one. I would imagine that inline 6 cylinder really pushes that car fast. Thank you for making these videos. I know you have made videos about some of my requests.

one good point to add is the rear suspension clunk. often the differential support bushings wear or the pinion support bushing mount breaks free from the trunk floor. Always insptect for damage.
