The System is an American synthpop duo consisting of vocalist/guitarist Mic Murphy and seasoned session keyboardist David Frank. The band was founded in 1982 in New York and backed up by Paul Pesco on electric guitar and Kris Khellow - keyboards, synthesizers. Sometimes the group is referred to as an "emotio-electro" band because of their hi-tech, synthesizer-driven sound mated to passionate vocals and sensitive lyrics. - Hudba

This is part 2 to "Don't Disturb This Groove ". Their music is so UNDERRATED and MAGICAL. These guys were light years ahead of their time.

@@theGoldenMilkyway Yep. musically, the structure and pitch are similar, in addition to the vocal arrangement on the chorus--the female background singer comes in after Mick just like on "Dont Disturb This Groove".

These guys have so many hits and were so underrated. This track and a few others that weren’t played were hot but barely or never played. The System I still play their songs still. Mic and David keep playing guys

Damn! This reminds me of when I would hang out with friends and cousins back home in Queens, NY in the late 80s and early 90s!
The production on this track in particular is perfect. The tempo is stately while the staccato instruments all lock together tighter than a toothpick. Of course Mic's gliding vocals have just the right amount of delay for the wetness, while David has those pads filled out with all that space in the center. Can't get enough. And the mix too is even better than all the vapor and synthwave that cribs from System.

My favorite part of the song 3:15, when they let the synth have its solo, and then Mic comes in with the "soul to soul" vocals ever so lightly in the background. So sweet. Two years ago, I went on my first solo trip to Atlanta, which is a five hour drive from my city. I was cruising on the highway, playing nothing but this song, Save Me, Don't Disturb this Groove, Lollipops and Everything, etc. with the windows down. It was a beautiful afternoon.
Omg. "Save Me" and "Lollipops and Everything " are two of my favorites songs from the group. Another favorite is " Promises Can Break "

Trackball76 we haven’t heard from them, at least mainstream in years. And the main popular song that’s promoted is “Don’t disturb this groove”. I JUST found other songs they have, including this one. An amazing group

The breakdown at the beginning and middle (0:00 and 3:37 respectively) is what drove me to this song plus when Mic starts singing he brought me back to the "Dont disturb this groove" vibe. They're a really great group and I'm glad I decided to listen to more of their music.
