@@Oh_You_seen_my_Womble you would however would have to put up with sonia shouting cooeee through your back door and wanting to borrow your iron , your washing machine and l even your house lol
How weird is this for six degrees of separation? I am watching various britcoms on a rotation and somehow i watch three different shows that has a correlation back to back to back 1 in The Good Life (Margo) plays the lead character in the sound of music 2 sound of music is briefly mentioned in s1e4 of the vicar of dibley; later in the epilogue alice tells a joke about ronnie baker 3 ronnie baker has a daughter name charlotte who guest stars in this episode of Fresh Fields. I'm about to watch the rag trade (the black and white version series 1 either ep 5 or 6) and then mind your language (dont forget the driver) next but I'm missing a reference for bless this house (parents should be seen not heard)
Ah, the mid- to late '80s! When the difficulties of the wife has trouble deciding what to wear and the wife wanting to to help at the office were still comedy tropes, though fading.
Lovely feel good show, just the thing to unwind.
I love this series. A hugs fan of Anton Rodgers. One of the best British character actors. RIP.
Well written. And the Actress playing Hester is wonderful and they make a great couple.
love this episode thank you
this is one of the best places to learn and understand the real british sense of humour. amazing comedies
I noticed that Miss Turner was played by Charlotte Barker, Ronnie Barker's daughter.
And she mentioned Mr Wiley, which was technically her father.
Thanks so much for posting these Dave - feel very nostalgic watching them. I wish life was as idealistic and suburban as this!
Feel exactly the same, I was a teen in the 90s, would be good if life was as good, safe fun without all the shit in life!

Thanks for the upload... XD
Hester: His father was a rear admiral.
The man: Rear admiral, hey? What did he serve in?
Hester: ... The navy!
Aaah, nostalgia isn't what it used to be!
BTW where is Miss Denham?
She got a bug
and on this day a conference call was made
I love it ,should have more comedy like just been watching I need more funny humour not affecting anybody.
