I've just started riding the 7'0" HI Mid 6 (quad set up) in head to 1.5 x overhead waves in Sydney and it is phenomenal. After 35 years of short board surfing, I have discovered my board for the latter stages of my surfing life. Catching more waves, going v fast, plenty of drive and easy to turn in and out of the pocket. I had a great Tollhurst board 10 years ago so not surprised. He is an incredible shaper. 10 out of 10 for this board.

I have had this board for the last month - the surf has been good here in England for last month , so have tried both quad and thruster , I really good waves, beach and point breaks. For me ,not as a quad but thruster , yes, have started to feel the bite with large reactors which I love ( not a fan of FCS) but these are great fins. This board is a keeper - other reasons ? Confidence it is going to hold and get you into waves. I can honestly say that I have my refined long term quiver, but likely to use this the most now. Well worth getting one. I still want performance at nearly 62 😊😊!

Can the Mid 6 handle hollow beach breaks and steep drops? What is the upper wave limit? Looks super fun!

i have the Moe 7'2. Can a 7'0 Mid 6 replace my Moe as an every day board with more performance?

The 7'0 Mid6 is not really a good replacement. The Moe is loose and good for small to med size size wave. The Mid6 , the rocker is similar to the moe except for the last two or 3 inches word kicks up a lot more. It has more of a sleek design with a pintail. So the board actually starts working really well from Chester, head high and bigger up to triple overhead. Two boards feel totally different. So that's why you'll notice Hardee surfing the mole and more small medium size sloppy days and then when it starts getting serious, he's riding the mid-6 - David

      I finally got one!
That pintail feels like a fin in the tail when riding it as a quad. Don't understand why you would choose to run it as a thruster!
