OMG. I was one of the first donors when the total raised was less than $500 and the goal was $100,000. I've been checking periodically, and the goal just keeps getting raised because Jake and his subscribers are AWESOME!! The goal is now $500,000 and almost $400,000 has been raised?! That's insane. Just WOW!!

Im an expat living in Kyiv since 5 years. Here many Ukrainians donate 10% of their salaries of around 5000 dollars per year and this is how drones given by volunteer and civilians managed to stop many times before the collapse of the frontline.
I watch local tv in Ukrainian and local brigades go often on tv ,they share their qr codes for donations, they are in need of drones, trucks and equipment. I give 10% of my income to donations to the army.
Please donate to local brigades as well always. Keep the urgency and the commitment to the people defending us all as if it was the first day of the invasion.

@@AstroGremlinAmerican when you have 5000$ per year every minus stings. A lot of people have lost everything so why are you implying those who do not or cannot contribute are not respected. That's not the case. Ukraine is a free country. Though you may better not wave your Russian flag on Maidan on your next visit.
I guess that Jake also mentioned this when reading the letter of an american soldier that fought in Avdiivka, that volunteers and civilians were once the main sources of drones, the previous years the Ukrainian goverment didnt have a massive program to produce them.
Still if you watch Ukrainian news channels there will always be a qr codes and brigades going to talk there every day to encourage locals to donate.
War fatigue is also a big issue in Ukraine so less people are volunteering which is normal but I have friends that make volunteering or serving their full time commitment.
Great to hear this is going on in Ukraine. An American, I gave $5000 to various organizations (focusing on tablets, body armor, night vision, first aid kits, etc.) during the first 2 or 3 months of the war, and just gave $70 to this effort, but have often wondered what the average Ukrainian civilian feels about the war.
I remember the Soviet Union era and how as a child born and raised in Puerto Rico, the Russians harassed our island through Cuba for many years. Trying to sabotage radio locations,and antennas back then, through the use of Cuban Independistas. They were trying to get Puerto Rico to become independent and align itself with Cuba. We hated them then and still do now. The Russian regime/ideals never changed (only their logo)from way back then. I’m happy to donate and happy birthday Jake😊

@@Markle2k 99% of those are Cuban Independistas. It’s almost impossible to differentiate between Cuban and Puertorican if you’re from a different country. Maybe 98%… I’m sure there’s a few scoundrels that associate themselves with Russia, just like even a growing number but still small groups of Americans like authoritarian regimes. But this goes to show you how the USSR/RUSSIA keeps at it relentlessly.

I wish I could have donated more, but I made the donation in memory of my parents, who were born in 1921. Lifelong Republicans, and staunch defenders of liberty, they would have been enraged by the GOP obstruction of aid to Ukraine.
