How to speedrun:
1. Execute all stages and bosses pretty damn well
2. Wait for RNGesus to answer your prayers on the final boss

21:40 I hope they're talking about the rain and not the physics...for those who didn't get it, the rain was going left, so blowing back, then going forward thus speeding up.

I was waiting to say what an amazing run that was, but this game has some intense jumps, so I kept hesitating. Minus the RNG on that last fight, that was pretty much the best performance you could ask for on a live run...

It just dawned on me that Mega Man 9 is now closer to Mega Man 6 than it is to 2024.
I have played AND beaten all 6 of the classic mega man games, but this game is FAR too hard
I've done same, beat 1-6...AND 7.
It's still a great game. It's hard, but it isn't as cheap, repetitive or unfair as like say Mega Man 1 & especially Mega Man & Bass. It's fairly challenging.
It's hard because of the stupid traps. Once you know they're coming and you know how to deal with them, this game isn't too bad.

For the willy final boss form, if will too high up, I usually use either rush jet + plug ball, black hole bomb magma bozooka or Hornet chaser

There both the same. Awesome games done quick (AGDQ) is done in the winter months.Jan-Feb sometime. While Summer Games done quick (SGDQ) is done around June-July

You can tell that this guy really mastered the game. It shows how the devs had speed runners in mind when they made Megaman 9.

@thomasffrench3639 Completely disagree. At best, it kills the pace and momentum of the fight, at worst it makes the fight tedious.

Going back to play this as an adult reminded me a little of not missing that era. As most stuff was perfect or bugger off and these days I like a game to be fun more so than unforgiving.

age old question, why doesn't mega man just beam right into the boss chamber?
Better yet, why does Wily keep putting bosses in them? He can't leave til the boss shows up and gets defeated, why not just leave him hangin?

we're the robots is a very good song but not my fav on mm9. my fav is hornet man's theme. 2nd fav is wily battle,3rd 3rd stage wily,were the robots 4th. and time finish should be 33:33

Bought Mega Man 9 and 10 for Xbox Live but damn I wish they were on 3DS or PC. Capcom continues to suck.

Mega Man 9 and 10 IMO. Are definitive on Wii. Simply because the remote is the closest to the NES controller, I've played them on all the platforms and I say Wii is the best.
I agree man. I have played them on PS4 and I always go back to the Wii. I have my Wii hooked up to a CRT. I realize the picture is not the best, but the pros far outweigh the cons on that system.
You can get the legacy collection on the switch, PS4 or Xbox one

what's the worst mega man game?
If you count the X games, X6 and X7 are terrible! If you count the classic series only, I say 8 for the horrible auto scrolling sled levels. Megaman and Bass has a lot of bullshit level design and boss attack patterns, but at least the weapons are good.
