Poorly directed: no way she would be breathing in and out like that with her airway constricted. She’s be choking for about 30 seconds then unconscious then dead.

Fairly poor directing. Garroting is not used to strangle. It is used to break the neck. After a couple of twists she would no longer be able to breath in any fashion. After a couple more, her neck would snap. It's not as fast as hanging, but the result of breaking the neck is more certain. Also, no WAY would she be that calm the whole time while being simply strangled. After 30 or so seconds, she would begin VIOLENTLY thrashing. It is involuntary. The body is going to fight to live. Look at hanging victims (for lift hangings or very short drop hangings)...they thrash about and convulse for several minutes. It's referred to as "Dancing a jig"

You realize that it's a poorly edited video, right? I haven't seen the movie, but I can recognize repeated shots and video that run forward-reverse-forward-reverse, etc. The actual scene is probably only a few seconds long and some extended it for titillation purposes.
