I’m loving the monument Mondays! I would’ve never seen the lion without Tim pointing it out. His knowledge is phenomenal. uk

I’ve been by these monuments often. Didn’t realize how much detail I’m missing. Thanks for the great videos. 😊

Outstanding. Heading to gettysburg tomorrow as a matter of fact to visit more sites I've picked up on off this channel and american battlefield trust. Both terrific channels along with several others

If I am not mistaken, there was a restoration company working on this monument when I was visiting Gettysburg two years ago. They were reattaching the end of the rifle which had been broken off and doing some other maintenance. I love these and can't wait for Monday to see which monument will be next. Thanks, Tim!

Who in their right mind would vandalize a monument toward the men who fought, bled, and died in battle? There are some real cowardly individuals out there. I wonder what the veterans of the 78 and 102nd New York Regiments would think if they knew their monument was disrespected in such a fashion?
The lion worked into the sculpture is really cool!

The other thing I always thought was interesting & unique on this monument is that they flipped the unit numbers from side to side, so that each would get top billing equally. One side shows 78 & 102 and the other side shows 102 & 78.

Really enjoyed learning about this monument and the historical perspective. It’s taken getting into more detailed accounts of the battle and visiting that part of the field to truly appreciate the importance of Culps hill to the outcome. Thanks again.

I've seen pretty much every monument, but never saw the lion or heard of it until now. I did know it was damaged at some point.... imo it is one of the 'cool' ones. I think we all hit a saturation point on monumnets, but now I have to rethink what that point is.....

Ya the video is jacked up from a stabilization filter. At least they have the audio fixed.
