Toyota GR86 is said to be one of the best sports cars out there. It's certainly a great car and ranks among the best sports cars available, especially in this budget class. We like the low weight, solid body, perfectly tuned and balanced chassis and ergonomic interior. But the GR86 also has considerable weaknesses. The steering is sharp and precise, but it lacks feel and feedback, the Torsen differential is really insufficient for sporty driving, especially in wet and snow conditions. These drawbacks remain the same as the previous generation. However the engine and transmission improved a ton! - Sport
you and the passenger have really good cooperation skills, just look how you shift and he helps you with the clutch

The previous GT86 drove great, sadly most people just looking for fast 0-60 times and didn’t appreciate it. It think the new one is a great evolution and it became better in many ways
my engineer friend really showed what he can do with the old automatic 86 he got by getting the settings dialled in for the tyre and then demolishing every car that didn't have 4x it's horsepower on a track that heavily biases fast cars. On tighter tracks you can forget about luxury cars like bmw m's, porsches with their tiny wheel hubs that are over stressed and rs audis.

Kudos to the driver for having both the skills and the courage at the same time! The road was extremely narrow, and the trees constantly keep reminding you how fast and how bad it could get with the smallest mistake!

Sure, the Plaid is quicker than a chiron from 0-60, but it sounds like a washing machine, and in general it is the most uninspiring, unremarkable looking car on the planet. Especially in the interior. Dashboard? Nah, we'll just throw in a kitchen counter and stick an iPad to it. Couldnt ever imagine wasting 80k on that 🤣

@@jamest4652 It's still possible to understeer in the rain. He is praising the drivers ability to manipulate the cars weight so it oversteers, rather than understeer on hard turns.

I like the red in the doorcards and footwell, reminds me of the Maroon interior of the original AE86. This is a true successor.

This was amazing. First I thought you has a passenger playing footsies with something, then realized your passenger was actually pressing the pedals. After more analysis I realized you do not have a passenger and that you made a dig out under the center divider and placed your feet in the passenger space section. Then I finally raised my eyes and looked out the front windshield and I got scared by the insane drifting on this super skinny road in the middle of the blaire witch country with no guard rails. But continued to watch until the very end.

Hezké video, ten záběr na nohy je hodně dobrý (i v předchozím videu s GR86) a jízda na mokru mě taky baví, dokonce víc jak na sněhu (asi proto, že na sněhu mi to moc nejde). No a chci se zeptat, proč "vrkáš" s tím plynem v zatáčkách? Je to kvůli korigování přetáčivého smyku, nebo z jakého důvodu?
Je to kvůli tomu, že na tom mokru nemá žádnou trakci a kdyby byl na plynu kontinuálně, tak stojí na místě a protáčí se mu jen kola.

Saying the Torsen LSD is insufficient on a (around) 35k€ street car is being very picky :) At least it is mechanical and not this electronic brake applying thing so many modern street cars do now. Great driving though!
