If I had the liquidity, I would be buying the dip on Luka. He will have rested up a few weeks, play in the Olympics, and build hype this summer
Just a correction. Only one team in the 105 year history of the NHL came back from a 0-3 deficit to win the Stanley Cup. The 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs came back and beat the Detroit Red Wings. And only 2 teams ( 2024 oilers and 1945 Red Wings lost the first 3 games and then tied up the series but didn’t complete the comeback. That’s how tough it is to win Stanley’s Cup. I don’t know if most people realize how big the baseball fields Willie Mays played on were !!!! He covered a lot of ground in centerfield and is one of the few to hit over 600 home runs !!!

Luka struggled in the Finals but I will give him a pass. The Celtics were way better than the Mavs and this is really the first time Luka has been tested on the court. His defense was atrocious but his offense helped hide it some. I still think Luka has the ability to be the best player in the NBA but he is going to have to challenge himself more on defense and really put in the work to trim up. Still have high hopes for him. Reaching a finals and doing all he did in the playoffs was impressive, but he just needs to mature more in his game.

Lewis only became injury ridden because Baldelli put him into Centerfield two years ago and had Buxton play center field. A ball went to the wall and Lewis who never played the outfield before ran into the wall and tore his ACL. If he stays healthy he will win the triple crown one day.
2:21 lies. Wasn’t the best player. Guys, please don’t let stats lead you to believe this. He did numbers. Only won 1 game in the Finals. As far as injuries, that’s an excuse. They lost to the better team. Luka had great offensive stats, but his defense was probably 35% of the reason they couldn’t win more than a game in this series. That’s a lot for one man to achieve.

for those of us who watched the game, we saw that Luka was not that good in the Finals. I find it ridiculous how much his fans overhype him. Especially with the use of stats. Luka literally cost his team two games because of his poor defense and his whining to the refs. I do not know how anyone could watch him play in these finals and say he was the best player. and if that perspective is based solely on stats then your perspective is limited. Stats do not tell the whole story.
