  • Do you buy or trade steel pipes and want to understand seamless, ERW and LSAW pipes a bit better? You are at the right place!
This video gives you a not too technical understanding of the types of pipes used in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industries, to be more comfortable when discussing the topic with suppliers or technical counterparts:
    The video shows:
    1) The characteristics of seamless, and welded pipes (ERW and LSAW)
    2) The manufacturing process of seamless, ERW, and LSAW pipes
    3) Comparison of seamless pipe vs. ERW pipe
    4) ASTM pipe specifications (A53, A106, API 5L, A333, A312, A790, A928, and the various super-alloy grades): carbon steel pipes for high temperature, pipes for low temperature, alloy steel pipes, stainless steel pipes, duplex, and super duplex pipes, nickel alloy pipes
    5) Pipe lengths (SRL and DRL) and type of pipe ends (plain ends, beveled ends, threaded ends, threaded and coupled, grooved ends - i.e. Victaulic type)
    6) The dimensions of steel pipes per ASME B36.10 and ASME B35.19

The ideas presented are very well situated in relation to the piping but will be even better when explained verbally so in the future one should take it clearly by voice
