B36.10 covered only pipe dimension. I think IS1239 covers both material and dimension. Both are pipe standard but not same.

ERW - Electric resistance welding (ERW) refers to a group of welding processes such as spot and seam welding that produce coalescence of faying surfaces where heat to form the weld is generated by the electrical resistance of material combined with the time and the force used to hold the materials together during welding.
Electric Fusion Welding (EFW steel pipe) refers to an electron beam welding, the use of high-speed movement of the electron beam directed impact kinetic energy is converted to heat the workpiece so that the workpiece leaving the melt, the formation of the weld
The high frequency welding (HFW) is mainly used in ordinary or thin wall steel pipe. It includes contact welding and induction welding. Direct current welding is generally used for small caliber steel tubes. In general, HFW is one of ERW production methods, it adopts the high frequency welding process.

Syed Saab anybody can become anyone if there is a Great will and drive inside you to do something great.. Engineer is a Engineer and you can become whatever you like provided you are taking the best efforts and interest in the subject. Everyone who study is not doing the same job when they are employed nor everyone get the course what they are interested also..
