Changing the focal length while the drone moving forward is a genius act 0:20

🎬 Your Mount Fuji vlog was so well-made! The way you edited the footage and added music and sound effects made it a joy to watch. I am a fan now, stay in touch.
Glad you enjoyed it :) thanks so much for that!
Fooooji gang bro!!! 85mm for me
I need to use 85mm more haha Keen to see more from Japan brooooo
Love the vid TK! super helpful
Yooo thanks bro! When the vlogs coming I wanted to put your CZcams up haha
Yes, sometimes you would have to use a telephoto or zoom lenses for landscape. It's not always wide or ultrawide lenses.
I still use the wide angle zoom most frequently, but quite often it’s the telephoto shots that make for a more interesting composition in my mind!
@@TKNORTH agreed
For a beginner it is really hard to use a wide-angle zoom, since it includes so much into the photo... Unless you have access to big mountains and vistas, I'd recommend a mid-range zoom like 16-55 for aps-c or 24-70 for full frame cameras
Great content! Congrats! One question, Im travelling to Japan in the end of this year and I would like to know how it is to fly a drone? What are the restrictions? Thanks in advice
Dang, going to Japan soon and thank you for this tip....I was thinking 24-105 gonna be enough but I might just bring laowa 12mm as well I guess
Thanks for this video!!
I goint to japan i think how len i need to shot fuji i think i dont need 70-200 i think 24-105 enough
Sweet photos man! You guys got some epic conditions at Fuji.
Thanks heaps dude! They were pretty decent 👌🏻
Hi. I will be traveling to Mt Fuji next Feb. Which lens is best for taking landscape of mt fuji? 16-35mm?
what! same feb. nice trip im go to trip japan im just photography, good luck i will bring 35,50,86 all prime. i never use any zoom.
I found telephoto lenses very helpful in capturing landscapes with short stubby mountains or ones that are just too far away. Did you use the 100-400 for the timelapse at 7:44 ?
I said it in another comment, but although I tend to use the wide angle most frequently, I really do love a good telephoto shot!
Yep that was at 100mm :)
Hello I found the view of the hotel fascinating. May I know which hotel were you staying at for shooting the timelapse? Thank you! 4:24
Hiya! The place is called ヴィラス浅間の庵 - always seems to be written in Japanese even on google maps and booking . com so it can be tricky to find! But I believe it translates to Villas Asama no iori. Hope that helps!
what are each of the locations in this video? heading to japan soon!
What’s your favourite lens for landscapes 👀
for me if it’s one lens, its the 70-200. It’s just the most versatile for me, and for a two lens combo its 70-200 and the 16-35 for sure. Cant be beat imo
Hard to argue with that! Lately I’ve opted for the 100-400 over the 70-200. Still ultimately prefer a 70-200 I think, just the lightweight 100-400 I currently have is hard to go pass!
Any considerations for drone flying in Japan?
Hey, I'm also traveling to Japan soon. Got the Sony A7 IV with Tamron 17-28 F/2.8
I have to decide between Tamron 28-75 F2.8 G2 or Sony 24-105 F/4 as the daily lens, which would you take? Better lowlight and smaller size or a little bit more zoom and also a little bit wider with F/4.
And I will add a 50mm or 85mm F/1.8 for some night shots. Also got the Sigma 35 F/1.4 but I think it´s way to big and heavy for this vacation.
Please help me out :D
What did you end up taking? Going to Japan at the end of summer. Right now I have the Sigma 20, 35, and 65mm f2 primes. As well as the Sony 85mm 1.8 and Tamron 28-75mm G2.
@@nicholassmith7723 toke the 24-105 f/4 and Sigma 35 f/1.4 + 85 f/1.8
But I would stick with the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 G2 and swap the sigma 35 with the Sony 35 f/1.8
17-28 was pretty good. Maybe swap the 85 for a 70-200mm
16-35 gang haha
love the intro.
Many thanks 🙂
50mm gang
Always my go to man!
was this shot on a APS-C sensor ?
Full frame, canon R5
Old Mitch:
Landscape lens = 24-70 2.8
Portrait lens = 24-70 2.8
Vlog lens = 24-70 2.8 😂
Hahaha 24-70 life. One lens life has it's advantages in some ways
dan copying my answer bro disqualified
Hahahaha standard answer for us all
