I now have a 2011 trx 250x is this a quad I could start racing just as a beginner
depending on your age, but you would want a 2 stroke if its a 90cc. if your like 14 or older, get a 450cc 4 stroke, like a YFZ, LTR, DS450 (made by can am) and so on

okay I have been trying to get into quad racing recently. does anyone have any suggestions on how i would go about that
Before you take this step,You need alot of money,on top of a worthy machine,30k does not get you very far now a days,you need sponsors,you need to travel and you must practice practice practice,and you need to be rated as a rider,it's alot bof work for one person,the competition is real,start off with local amature races and you can move up from there assumming you do well,it takes alot of everything to go pro
Money is one thing i didnot come from, lol. I kinda figured it would be extremely hard for me to do anything with my riding abilities. i was watching some AM videos and just by watching I felt more than confident. I got a honda 400ex SLOWLY doing work on it, cam,timing, jets,ect. thanks for the positive feedback, im going to go for it, I have a track about an hour away from me, it is in Taylorville Illinois. By this time next year ill be in Colorado so im hoping that by then I will have already turned some heads.
jcanuelkwnowitall however you don't exactly need money, actually no where near 30k. i have a machine its a near stock 400ex an its very fast, i dont want a bunch of over priced performance parts that dont help a whole lot besides my suspension setup.
I think this new track might be a little unsafe lol
I wanna get into racing to I think my quad is good I might change the engine though its a Yamaha 90cc should I get a 2 stroke or 4 stroke
a new quad. u cant race with a 90cc frame -_-
