For the Morigan Guard shield, there’s a rune you can use that also creates a fire ring around you when you parry. That and the gas can trigger at the same time, as well as if you have the “redirect” skill unlocked, you can “redirect arrows and spears” which counts as a “parry” and can trigger these abilities as well.

This is very informative! Thank you & ESO Danny for giving awesome advice. I often pass it on to my hubby, who isn’t very far along into playing. Imagine if poison plus fire exploded around you (without any friendly fire harming yourself or allies. AOE damage can be a pain) like in the DOS games (Divinity of Sin).
@@loraelstad8941 thankfully and also slightly, unfortunately the fire does not make the gas explode but it takes care of enemies extremely fast when both abilities trigger at the same

12:47 Instead of looking the explosives cache, just use the range exploding skill
I just Duel wield the Rune Shield & the Sarcophagus Shield.
Leaves you like a walking juggernaut, dmg ain't great as others but nothing can harm you so long as you parry for a free insta-kill.
Works wonderfully against 340 enemies and legendary creatures~

The problem with the poison clouds is that if you kill a enemy around a group of civilians it makes you desynchronize... happens way to often for me and it’s so irritating.

Yep. I had a desync during a cutscene because my cloud was killing civilians. I was very confused at first, "why am I desyncing during a cutscene!?" >.
I thought it was just me! Had to take the miasma skill off because of this

Morigan is good but that briton shield is amazing 15 percent life back or the sarcophagus shield is good too

I use that battle sparth with Lagertha's axe because LA has the highest attack stat of any weapon in the game. Those combined with the brigadine's armor fully upgraded give your crazy melee damage. If not the highest possible in the game. After that i just cram melee and crit change runes in the weapons and hold the LB button anytime I get into a fight. "Spin 2 win." 🤷
Miasma = Desync when ever you fight in towns

You don't have to use the oil jars to blow up the stone walls. Just use the Arrow powder trap ability to blow it up, much easier. You can also use it to blow up barred doors, just shoot one powder trap on the door and then shoot another powder trap ontop of it to make it explode, that will open up the door for you.
Dive of the Valkyrie level 2 does the same for one adrenaline.

@@PoeticMercury Interesting. That’s never happened to me. All I’ve really had are regular crashes after about 5 hours of playing on PS4, and the floating canoe.

morrigan guard is a nice shield for a poison build,it does have a counterpart for a fire build,sarcophagus shield.
You can use the fire powder trap to break stone walls like the one in the video at 3:23
While in Lincoln to get the Longbow(Predator Bow).
Outside the Cathedral in Lincoln that you synchronize view on top of for Lincolnscire.
*Give a (5 coin) alms to beggar sitting at the front door to receive a square "Chained Fury Rune(Increases Attack after every hit{up to 10x}". The well next to him contains 6 coins. If it matters...

My first shield I got other than the raven clan shield was the morrigans guard, honestly I prefer the sarcophagus shield because of the extra protection and the 33% chance of blasting fire everywhere when parrying
They need to fix miasma so it doesn’t kill civilians otherwise de-synch happens often. I ended up speccing out if this skill because of it.
I just had a triangle rune that copies the shields ability

I liked that shield for the look. Perfect match with the thegns armor set. Plus there’s a fire rune that can ignite a fire cloud as the same time as the poison.

@2:30 you can also select your torch and throw your torch at the gas to save yourself an arrow if you're early game

I'm using this shield mythic quality with a major rune slotted that gives your weapon a chance to poison on parry. So you're constantly getting poison on the shield or weapon, sometimes both at the same time. I got the rune from one of the order members/zealots, don't remember which, but they all drop major runes and it's random.
Where did you get the rune, i've not found that one yet

Also using 2 piece Mentors (head and chest) and 3 piece of einherjar set can give you +50 Attack very consistently. also using the runes increase crit chance per hit, att per hit, speed per hit, and crit damage per hits synergy is out of this world dude, especially with dual daggers,1h axes, and spears
You can use the fire arrow perk to get past breakable walls too
You can basically get all these cool special bonuses and out them on any weapon you just have to kill the right world bosses that give the diamond shape ruins I have that smoke perc on my lightbow

Here i am just wishing you could dual wield the same weapon in both hands. I'd totally rock 2 of those 1 hand bone axes just because they look cool
wow guess i should be very glad i got runes that have the exact same effects and i can put them on any weapon i choose question is do these runes give you the exact same bonus as those weapons or the numbers vary because the game doesn’t give you detailed numbers on diamond runes

Dude I couldn't stress this enough. It's terrible to leave out such a major weapon during that time period.
Bro I can't tell you how irritated I was, when I found out there is not a single sword that you can wield inside of the game. Regardless of the fact, that swords were quintessential to Viking weaponry. To make matters worse, one-handed swords are yielded by almost every other NPC. I really can not think of a reason as to why they wouldn't add it, other than the dev team just being honestly lazy.

I put a major rune on the morrigans guard that can release a blast of fire on parry. Poison and fire at the same time.
I feel like the morrigans guard and mjolnir with stun and poison build will be tooooooo good. I'm gonna go for the shield next time I turn the game on and mjolnir, yeah that will be near the end.
That’s what I do, except I add the fire ring rune onto the morigans guard :)

So. The most important thing first.
I've just completed the game to a point where there's not much to do. I found out you can infact kill monks or any civilians for that matter if you pull a huge multikill. The limit is otherwise 2, after the third you will be desynced. The next lines may be spoilers.

Those are the Isu/God reincartions I've been able to piece together.
Also. Wasnt the cave in Vinland the same we visited in AC3 as Connor?
There's a few disappointing things to mention. For example the very confusing and underwhelming end to the mainstory (completing all sagas/regions) and the huge cliffhanger where Layla goes full on Desmond-style to try save the world and Basim (Loki) takes over her work. Will these cliffhangers be adressed in the DLC:s or do we really have to wait till the next game? I'm happy but yet I feel kinda meh. The endings. Why do they have to be so underwhelming?

The Sarcophagus shield is better and cooler looking than the Plank and Buckler imo. Why not include that too?
Probably for the same reasons people hate on the Draugr set. AC snobs like to talk about “immersion breaking”. I’ve been rocking Draugr since day 1 and just swapped my Hirco for this shield.

If your too lazy to get a bomb pot. You can use the "bomb trap" bow ability to just blow up the walls you encounter.
I usually bounce between the Morrigan Shield and the Gorgon Shield if I know there will be crowds of civilians. The Miasma desync really sucks lol. Still, Morrigan over Gorgon.

Yeah used the poison proc from the morigan guard with miasma, accidentally killed a squad of guards and 12 citizens in moments and desynchronized automatically.
thing i did is just get 500 helix points cause i randomly had 300 for free idk and got the draugr armor set then i got a trusty blacksmith hammer and a shield i sneaked into high level region and stole tungsten then once i upgraded my hammer i did a fish silver farm to get resources and thats it that is getting me through this game easily
i had the longbow before this vid and just got the miragin shield and sparth axe though i’m rocking blacksmiths hammer and the miragins shield currently
The block is low because it's a Raven class and because it's primary use is for parrying. Blocking will still work especially if you have the 2 light shields skills activated..... and did you say, "Meezma" Out of all the ways I could think of to mispronounce that word, I don't think I would have ever thought of that..... I'm not hating either, I may start pronouncing it like that now!

You can use fire trap ability to quickly destroy blocked pathways instead of throwing those pots
Btw Morrigan is a Irish goddess and it is also a reference to shay cormac’s ship in AC rouge

All these "when surrounded by 3 or more enemies" are virtually worthless as well, as the most significant time you'll be surrounded by many enemies is a raid. Outside of that, most enemies patrol in groups of 3 *at most*. This is a perk that is specifically for when failing - that is, when you succeed (killing enemies), this perk goes away.
Or those stacking buff perks. A stacking buff that reaches 10 stacks, but stacks only last 2 seconds? That's barely enough time to finish a heavy finisher and attack again.
I am just not feeling it. I find Oddesey way more fun when it comes to perks.
The problem with odyssey is that if you want a specific perk on your weapons, you have to grind and find the exact weapon type with the perks that you want.
@@fennec4462 That's not the point. The point I am trying to make is: the current runes are either boring OR cumbersome with requirements. What I want is more fun, player power type perks/runes like Odyssey. Ubisoft can easily use their fantasy to make runes/perks more fun similar to Odyssey.
@@dennisdegroot8003 they specifically turned away from the fantasy aspect from Odyssey, they felt it was too arcade-y and I feel they made the right choice.

True, a shame that in a game of the viking era where 2 handed swords were not used at all but are now for some reason available yet one of the most iconic weapon the vikings sword is missing or at least u cant equip it.

I swear I'm not an idiot but I just figured out that every armour and weapon set bonuses have Dimond runes if there is a skill you want on a really good item you'll have to look for its rune counter part

the Miasma effect + Morrigon shield is good.but not effective yet i may call it annoying even,when fighting in an area of which theres civilian around.ive been desync' many time coz of this poison effect due to civilian killed from one poisoned person to another.coz yea, civilian will check the dead body at a point resulting chained reaction.if u dont believe me go try it urself,for me,ive stopped using this shield.
When do you start to find the Gold ingot or what it's called? What area/power level does you start to find them? I had one in the beginning, I'm pretty sure I got it from that free Ubisoft reward upgrade materials bundle.
