I can confirm that Richard Pike was on Vai's crew at that time.His brother Greg, is a friend of mine and we're from a cold wet rock in the North Atlantic close to where the Titanic sank. So, I didn't believe Greg when he said his brother is on Steve Vai's crew, but a few years later we were going to College in Montreal and Steve Vai was booked to play the next month. In a conversation about upcoming concerts, I mention the Vai gig. Greg's say's right away, "We got tickets! My Brother is going to hook us up!" I had forgot that he mentioned that, probably because I assumed it to not be true.
Anyway, Richard took good care of us. Took us out for dinner, got us great seats, kept our beer jug full, and directed us to where to get signatures after. An Epic Night.

That ain't no KAOSS Pad, but the fun and completely different Kaossilator. It lets you play drum loops, synth pads, and bass stuff, but none of the sampling and tone shaping capabilities of a KAOSS pad.

i did the mini kaoss pad thing on a squier strat... i used velcro and it was fine - and much easier to change the batteries
48 grand for that guitar because Steve Vai smashed it. no way.

I used to live in the Seattle area. I’ve got a lot of guitars. My wife used to teach at Renton Technical College. She could see Jimi’s grave from her office window.

As for the last one, an actual Ibanez JEM used on tour by Steve might be worth that perhaps to a rock & roll themed bar looking for memorabilia for its walls. But a low-mid-range RG that was clearly always intended as a prop guitar? Nah.

You have to put the chick painted on the guitar in context. Men were weaning themselves off of them. First it was putting on murals on the sides of conversion vans (aka: f'ck trucks), then it moved down to guitars, now you find them mostly in poorly executed tattoos.
