Mob James: Keefe D Was Out of Line for Saying Crips Would've Stepped to Suge (Part 19)

  • Part 18: • Mob James Saw 2Pac Spi...
Part 1: • Mob James on White Wom...
    ----
Mob James opened up about first learning of Keefe D while living in Compton because of the notoriety Keefe's hydraulics shop was getting. He later found out that Keefe D was a Southside Crip through his child's mother, making Keefe Mob James' enemy at the time he was in Mob Piru. Mob James went on to address Keefe D's claims that Suge Knight couldn't touch Eazy-E because of the Crips backing him, which Mob James said was untrue.

In the 90s, actually that was the trend. Rolling solo is new. Remember, when people didn't have cell phones like that in the 90s/80s, you rolled in big piles. It ain't like Eazy could text 100 Crips if it went down...you had to be deep at all times in social situations. It was too damn hard to contact people back then, that's why everybody rolled super deep. That trend is dead now, but the wu tang used to roll 200 deep..You go thru the hood, round up the troops, and take them with you..that was the trend..it was trendy like an Iphone is today, that's why the Wu-tang is so legendary till this day because they had the biggest crew.. And most of the time, the rapper didn't know the gangbangers. He might have known the Shotcaller or the OG or the guy who had the most influence...and it was their job to round up the troops..The rapper would just put the order in for 100 crips. Real talk. You guys weren't around in the 80s/90s, so you might not get it..But back then, you couldn't just call 100 people like you can today. People used house phones back then..So yeah, once you did put together a group, you'd try to keep it intact for as long as possible..So eazy e would have been spotted at least 1 time with gang members if that were the case.

If the Crips was that much harder than the Piru's, then they would have been eliminated them waay before this incident. Piru's was know to hold their ground against much larger (black and Mexican) gangs.

And his lack of size meant he wasn't feared like Suge (who wasn't a real street blood either). If all the crips were backing Eazy - Suge would of been killed ages ago. He didn't have to pull some weak ass shit like suge did and surround himself with killers, he had a business to run and he did do it without the gang bang b.s.

Second, Eazy definitely had crips behind him real heavy. It’s not secret at all. They are literally a bunch of crips from different sets posted up in his music videos. Kelly Park, nutty blocc, and southside all hung around Eazy and loved him which is why suge never played with him like that.

FACT: While I didn't fuck around the LP area, SE Compton was one of three places I refused to go (with Hoover--south of Vermont Square and Darby Dixon (Low Bottoms) in INglewood being the other).

I beleive James. I think he’s always kept it honest and everyone wants to remember things their own way. Eazy also kept his gang affiliation on the low so he didn’t isolate anyone from his music, so I could see something happening to him and Eazy being smart enough to just let it go and not worry about some petty retaliation BS

What does James mean when he says 'Eazy wasn't rollin' like that'? Is he saying Eazy didn't have the backup? Has he seen the Real Compton City G video? He's got South Side all over it. And not only South Side, he had homies from Santana Blocc, Spook Town, Neighborhood, Nutty, the whole Alondra showed up.

People admitted in several interviews that Eazy usually rolled solo with a gun. That's why he got caught slipping at that hotel meeting. He has a few crip friends, but not all of them.
