I use this to sidechain Drum Rack. I have a return with the output to "Sends only," this allows me to mute it while still seeing the level. Then I make an internal return routed to my sidechain, and use the signal in a regular compressor (to catch the peaks) followed by a glue compressor (to clip and add more pump)
Ableton's racks are really cool - not too tricky to wrap your head round as a beginner, but the more you dig into them the more cool little features you find :)
Dang so much new info in a few minutes! Ableton is truly impressive and so are these videos!

its default kit?
It's a kit from Suite in the Session Drums Multimic pack called "Kit-Damp-Snare-Stick". I deleted a few of the cells I wasn't using to make it a bit more manageable!
