Fantastic video Ramsey.Thank you very much indeed for taking the time to make it, Epic Lad is phenomenal its magnificent its magical & its sublime, i own the 100 ml bottle with Amouage Epic on the front, No Epic Lad insignia below the cap, Its a old formulation im told, &I've gotta stay its got fantastic projection! Really top notch sillage & i personally get a good 9.10 Hours from it, Excellent Imagary. I just love this magical brew! This heavenly concoction ❤🎉

Indeed this is an epic fragrance. When I first put my nose on it I couldn't afford it so I bought a full bottle in 2021. I can't speak about performance as my initial encounter was swift but I'm happy even with my 2021 bottle which indeed (as you pointed out) matures and gets louder and longer lasting after 40-60 days onwards. It's not my favorite Amouage but it is an astonishing fragrance. Spicy, green, smoky (that Amouage specific frankincense ). Cheers. A pleasure to watch you.

Epic and Gold Man are my two favorites from the house. Epic to me smells of the cold incensy air comming out from the middle east temples. So cold, creamy and smooth. It was a revelation the first time I smelled the drydown. The odd thing is I'm anosmic to the opening.
Ohhh nooo the opening is glorious... but Gold man is so under rated... people say it smells like this or that... its glorious french style opulent perfume.... deserved more love and not all the hate it gets in fragcomm.. thanks for watching & commenting 🙂
Epic video my man! Great imagery , especially the green flames giving birth to a crackling green smoke . I have a bottle purchased 2017 with Epic on the collar of the atomiser with magnetic cap. Very green artemesia and incence.. What a treasure

Great discussion bro....I had the pleasure of getting a decant of Epic 10 years ago and it basically turned to pure oil over time. I also have a newer decant (a year or so old). I sprayed both on tonight (one on each arm) and watch your review...which was awesome. I was temped to add the oil (only 1 or 2 mls left) into the other decant but the oil has zero top notes and dives right to the base. Yes, you miss a lot that way but having just the oil, just the base notes from the start is quite special. I think I'll keep 'em a part...lol Keep up the great work bro.

Best Amouge Epic review on CZcams. For me Jubilation and Epic are two holy grail Amouages and they always stand out from the crowd. I am surprised you didn’t say anything about new 5 Ald classic release yet. I think you are the most right person to compare them with their first versions. Good luck mate, regards

Another great video! My 1st Amouage is Lyric man because I was looking for a rose fragrance. Now I’m looking to get a second Amouage, I was thinking Interlude man but maybe I should consider Epic man as well. I’ll have to sample it before making my decision. Thanks!

I have a 30ml travel set, bought it in Spring 2020. It performs like crazy, projection is huge, especially in the opening. Beautiful dark green spicy scent for colder weather. Love wearing it when all the trees are covered by snow in a bright sunny day🌲 ❄️ ⛄️ ☀️

Wow my brother this video was so refreshing. I’m at work and couldn’t pause cause I was lost somewhere in the desert lost in the green smoke. You are definitely an amazing person and I pray to God your channel blows up big my brother. All frag heads need to be turned on to your channel. I've got a 2022 bottle, "Epic" underneath the "AMOUAGE" (Made in Oman).... and it is VERY strong. 16h+ on skin. And it projects several feet for the first 3-4h. 1-2 sprays MAX.
My experience with Amouage is, as long as you get a 'Made in Oman' bottle (and all of them from 2023 and on are made in Oman), you're good. Newer bottles just need a couple of months to macerate until they become beastly.

Epic Man was my first purchase from the house. It was my introduction into niche perfumery and thus my journey began down the rabbit hole.

This is my favorite Amouage. As someone who is firmly in the camp of complaining about reformulations, I will say that I've had both the non-magnetic cap and magnetic cap versions, and I think the magnetic version is plenty strong, and I actually prefer it.

I have both versions of Epic, perfofrmance is nearly the same. BUT i hate this soapyness in magnetic cap bottles. In nonmanetic cap you have any soap, instead of this you have very dark agar and this change the whole perception of Epic. Magnetic cap is for me greap perfume but nonmagnetic cap is work of art. I have couple vintage Amouages and any of them is not so different from current version like Epic.

@@RamseytheRam I went back and watched this video a bit more carefully; when I say magnetic cap, I actually have the same older magnetic cap that you do, so that's what I was comparing to the even older NON-magnetic cap version. If there's a newer magnetic cap version that has the writing on the bottom or side of the bottle, I haven't smelled those. So that was the basis for my comparison. Formulations are a maze to navigate through sometimes 🤣
The latest reformulations, new 2023 packaging, are weaker and some straight up smell wrong.
Love Tuberose for example, the smooth creaminess of that fragrance is gone. It’s borderline screechy now. The fluffy cloud it used to create is also gone and now it sits closer to the skin. Massive disappointment.
Do yourself a favor and grab 2021 and older batches if you can. Even 2021 is better than these 2023 formulations.
Got this and honour man from a discounter a long time ago, dry, dusty, spicy and resinous on me. Dry Like sand kicked up by a camel crossing the desert with the sun beating down. I like the box as well, really reflects the fragrance.

I am a newcomer to the fragrance world. Blue de Chanel got me into fragrances early this year and I had zero exposure to niche fragrances. I first smelled an Amouage fragrance 4 months ago and it was Reflection Man. Instantly fell in love and bought a 100 ML bottle on the spot. My next purchases were Beach Hut Man , Interlude Black Iris, and now Epic Man. Truly gorgeous scents. Thanks to Amouage, my Blue de Chanel and Sauvage Elixir now smells chemical to me, and I can't stand them anymore. Even though I am a newcomer, I was always drawn to the old releases and did not find Amouage's latest releases palatable. They all had this pushy sweetness to them. Also, the unisex aspect throws me off a little bit. One thing I don't like about Parfums de Marly for example is its sweetness in all of their fragrances. Royal Tobacco, King Blue (the first 2 hours was interesting but the the fruity accord became cotton candy like), Enclave etc. were a bit too sweet for my liking and their dry down did not smell as natural or unique as the old Amouage releases. Nevertheless, I am excited to smell Jubilation 40. I loved Jubilation XXV man but did not feel like I could pull it off due to being on the younger demographic. Thanks for the review! @@RamseytheRam Update: I actually ended up picking up 100ml bottles of Royal Tobacco and Enclave (also picked up Amouage Overture Man and Nishane Papilefiko!). Both of them grew on me immensely. Enclave reminds me of drinking a nice mint tea with honey after a long stressful day--Therapeutic smell that has class. I guess I was too harsh on my initial test. 😁
Here is my review of royal tobacco:
Royal Tobacco opens up with Licrorice and cardamom for me. After a few minutes, I can smell the fresh tobacco leaf coming forward from the background. It is almost like the fresh tobacco leaf is in a race with the licorice--it goes back and forward. After an hour and a half, the amber and smokiness starts to come forward and I felt the fresh tobacco leaf being turned into a proper Cuban cigar. At this point, the Madagascar vanilla and frankincense start to emerge out of the smoke cloud. The vanilla is not overly sweet, it has a bitter element to it, and it softens the edges of the smoke cloud perfectly. At the 4-hour mark, it smells like someone is now smoking the Cuban cigar in front of you while eating a vanilla dessert in the background. The earthiness is still present from the frankincense. The final dry down is ashy for me. At this point the cigar has been lit out and you have an ash like smell with a lot of earthiness. This fragrance is definitely a journey. It goes from a fresh leaf tobacco to being rolled up into a cigar and then being lit out towards the end.

Epic review. The green-and-gold standard. I saw that imagery playing in my mind like a commercial. 🤣 Awesome story. There's something that hasn't been done before. A YT channel solely dedicated to making hollywood-quality fragrance commercials. 😄 Nothing like the nonsensical tosh they play on TV, but a straight up visual and auditory depiction of the scent. Would be nice to travel the world to film a 30-second short, but methinks AI would be able to produce a pretty decent animated product at a fraction of the time and cost. The future of advertising. 🤖

Overture Woman is the best new Amouage IMO, one of my favourite purchases of the last year.

Received epic man sample! And I love it! Has an amazing drive down and that spicy opening is almost overwhelming in a very good way. There are so many different options I want to try for my next sample. I have now tried portrayal man epic man, jubilation 25 and interlude man! I really loved them all, but interlude man is a little too much for me. It almost smells Chalky or like this super dry powder deep in my nostrils. Not sure what to sample next!

I ordered another bottle of epic Man although i still have a 90% liquid on my current bottle. Love Epic Man. And i add a bottle of Epic Woman with that. Been thinkinh about the epic 56 but when i listen to you in another video . thats why i purchase the normal Epic Woman . hopefully epic womna give me the same love as the Epic Man

My bottle is newer, code 31292, and Im on hour 10, still smelling it without bringing my hand to my nose. Really enjoy the deep drydown, as it seems to lose the rougher, earthier notes (it reminds me of wearing something like Brut and doing something that makes you sweat) and leaves a brighter cleaner green.

my first amouage...which lead to 9 or 10 others lol. i actually do have a newer bottle and it just needed a couple of months. on the opening blast, literally first few minutes, i do get a soapy clean vibe but it quickly seperates into its recognizable form and the smoke starts creeping in. cant say enough about epic, i love it. i might have to sell some of my stuff too soon, but i would hold onto this to the end

hello ram! Exactly, the bottles of amouage as you explain in the video still have salvation, that's the one I bought yesterday from jubilation 25. I have a few ml of epic woman.. and as you explain, I'm trying it and I close my eyes, it's creamy, very creamy . I wanted to buy it but I couldn't find the old bottles or at least like the one you have, so I didn't buy it... what I bought along with jubilation 25 was opus 9, which I also love. I have never been attracted to amouage but recently I have been very attracted to it, I already have fate jubilation and opus 9... I am safe with them, because thank God it preserves the amouage DNA.

This fragrance is so weird to me. I have a 2ml sample of it and the first time i smelled it I got a resinous smell to it. Now i tried it again after 2 weeks and it smells like an expensive bath soap.

I have only tried Epic for women, as the best Zarokian's creation, but I will also test that one.

Epic and jubilation 25 are the best from the house. I own the vintage bottle of epic and bottle of jubilation 25 with the name on the neck and both are beasts. I'm really curious what that new jubilation 25 extrait will smell like.

A “respectable dent” in a 7 year-old bottle in which only 1/10th of the juice has been used?…lol How can this frag be so magical and beloved by you, and remain a full bottle for YEARS?…To be honest, the heavy imagery in a fragrance review is lost on me, as obscure ideas will be imagined differently by nearly every person (and have even LESS meaning for folks who have never been to a desert at night, Sudan, ripped an unripe lemony tear from a frankincense tree, etc.). So, for ME, this review is a long, long, LONG way around actually discussing the experience of this magnificent fragrance. However, I DO think it’s great that so many folks seem to enjoy your channel, and the colorful entertainment you provide for them!

@@RamseytheRam Oh thank you for explaining! I basically just asked if you or anyone else has ever seen a short batch code for an Amouage. I just rec'd a Made in Oman Epic Man and the batch code on the box and bottle is so short...it starts off with a G and then has only 5 numbers following it. There is also a different 6 digit numerical code etched in gold print onto the side of the box base but not sure what that is. None of the codes are verifiable on the batch code check websites. Just wondering if you have ever seen such a shorter code since I'm just concerned about purchasing a fake (altho the website is apparently legit). I know you must be busy so forgive me for asking if you have any thoughts. I appreciate you and all your video recommendations! :)

My batch is from 2020, it has a longevity of 16 hours, maybe even more, I'm curious what the vintage version was like. Boundless, Meander and Enclave are worth adding to my collection, what would you recommend, adding Ciel, Silver and possibly Rose Incense to my collection?

I will confirm that the new formulation is not very strong. Smells good, but isn’t very powerful at all.

Great rew. Epic man is not reformulated (2021 bottle here), still same smell and power (like Gold man), just need wait couple of months to mature in bottle. Longevity is 12h, very good sillage, people aoround me smell it on 2-3 meter. Its great frag, maybe linear but still awsome. I love him so much, one of the best Amouages. For me its green spicy resin incense on summer, geranium is very nice in this one. I wore him on hot summer days mostly. On winter days castoreum pop up, on summer castoreum its quiet from my skin.
I remember my 2021 Batch being pretty average in terms of performance. It was rather soapy with almost no Oud/Castoreum in the background. But it was a UK Batch, maybe thats the reason. I sold it just to buy a vintage non magnetic version 1 year later, which is absolutely great. Strong, spicy, deep animalic leathery in the base.

Same thing happened to me with my newer bottle. After a few months it sorted itself out and the performance became much better. I also feel like it was muddled as far as the notes but now it progresses the same way people describe through the opening mid and drydown

Amouage these days releases too many frags that I cannot understand them.
Somehow, I find the spicy in Epic has some relations to Van cleef Tsar which is my green spicy favorite.
They do both have the green bottle 🙂

Thanks Ramsey. Much appreciated ! "Old v New" I've got a 2021 Batch! Batch Number A34631F174. I've read about reformulation this & weak that! Made in Oman this v Made in Uk that. Blahblahblah. My Bottle of Epic Man is absolutely top notch. Excellent projection & Sillage. I walked into a bar a few weeks ago. Three sprays two hours plus earlier. The wonderful Lady behind the bar was at least 5 Meters away from me. Suddenly whose wearing that amazing perfume. I grinned & smiled knowingly. A gentle nod of the head in a very polite & gentlemanly fashion signalled that i was in fact the culprit. The Epic Man at the bar. So from my humble point of view & for what it's actually worth? My 2021 Batch of Epic Man is absolutely top notch. Anyone else with a different view for or against? Feel free to chirp in. I welcome you with open armz 😂🎉😮......Epic Comments Only. Lol. ❤

Epic and Jubilation 25 are some of my most favorite Amouages but I gifted them to family a couple of years ago because of their poor performance. I wonder if I had the inferior newer versions even back then.

The new stuff is almost too powerful for me.
The vibe I get from it is something a fantasy character like Legolas or Aragon from lord of the rings would wear. I've always thought it was cool but wasn't sure if I could pull it off.

Yeah, a too challenging fragrance. And expensive. I wonder what are the circumstances where you can use such a loud and intense scent. Not at work, let alone an office job. I have to try the new releases but I’m afraid they will be watered down by the new direction, as it the brand is more and more available to masses.

What Salmon has done to Amouage is one of the biggest travesties I've ever seen in perfumery. Discontinuations, reformulations, the prices, the new releases, it's ridiculous.
Even the new bottles are worse. The older bottles with Amouage on the collar and the name of the fragrance on the side looked objectively higher quality.
I absolutely agree with this... long live old Amouage 🐏

What's your spraying routine when you wear your fragrance for yourself (studying fragrance) and for others ( social)..?
My spraying routine is pretty straight forward... a few sprays on the inside of my collarbone... 2 or 3 sprays on my hand to study the fragrance
Ive had my bottle with the name on the front for about 1.5 years. Ive used about 10ml. Smells great to me and lasts forever. The imagery to me is a man riding a horse through a forest at dusk with a leather bag of spices/goods i.e. the witcher
