Love seeing you and your dad out making memories together. What size of net are you using? We can’t use nets where I am. Just crayfish traps and rod and reel. Happy new year my bearded brother👍🇨🇦

Thanks mate an mate I’m not 100% sure on the size of the net mate it’s one I had given couple of years ago once the boats back in I hope to do more trot lines. Happy new year to u and your family mate

Can anyone set a gill net up or do you need a license. I’ve been trying to find out but can’t find much

You need to get a gear serial number from sea fisheries before you put a net on the beach. It’s just for safety purposes so people know whose gear it is. If you speak to sea fisheries they will tell you what you need & the laws etc.

Your not allowed to net havelet bay restricted waters all year round up to half tide line ,like many bays in guernsey , but few who take up recreational netting bother to read the rules so end up netting illegally
