Catching Lobsters On My Island Plastic 21
Hi hello and welcome back.
It's a fantastic day to be out on the sea.
Today guys we are of out on my island plastic 21 fishing with my son marley and my dad. my dad has been fishing all his life and I started going out with him from the same age as marley so it's a nice feeling to have my dad and marley on my boat working the gear although my dad never had a winch it was all hand pulled lol I hope you enjoy the video as much as I do being on the boat. thanks guys and thank you for your support and subscribing to my channel till next time guys stay safe. #summer #family #fishing

If you ever put your trots out at night try a tougher bait like wrasse or mullet they love it. Mackerel and garfish are great when fishing for conger but the crabs soon tear it apart on a longline. I used to fish regular for conger years ago and often caught the bigger eels on wrasse. Having said that my biggest eel landed from shore was caught when fishing for bass with peeler crab on 18lb trace in about 3ft of water. That eel weighed 41lb.8oz. 😂

@@inshorefishingguernsey4507 I have seen a handful of monsters on the longlines in the past. I pulled one into the boat that was an experience in a small boat. Buckets flying everywhere didn't do that again :)
@@Trojwaterman yeah I use to work a Shane’s boat going for congors to sell to France when fishing was shit and we use to get tons of the thing and big stuff too

@@ianparker7550 some of the gear is my brother and dads that haven’t been used in a while and it depends where I’m putting them but yes your right should be cleaner

How does the line and hooks not get caught on bottom?
@@pikeyboyfoo the rope is floating it’s the weights that keep it all there so the hooks ain’t really on the bottom and if I do use ones that sit on the bottom I’ll try do them on the sand so they don’t get hooked on anything
