With the technology we have, why do these Metaverse games look like they came out of the 80’s? It’s only a matter of time before players move on..that’s why it worries me buying land on any of these current games.

Good informative video, but I'm skeptical whether play to earn games are just a massive ponzi schemes. Buying land in games where people's objective is to earn in real life money, won't end well once the hype dies down. This isn't like those mangas where the virtual game is somehow printing money out of thin air, this is basically new players "investing" irl money to pay the existing player base, while hoping to earn money from newer players. Once the player base stops growing exponentially, the game economy will crumble like a classic ponzi scheme.
