Sadly, Sanders isn't the first who should've been president: from 1941-1944, the vice-president was Henry A. Wallace. Previously, he was Secretary of Agriculture, during which he made a ton of reforms that vastly improved the lives of farmers during the Great Depression. Many of the policies that he championed during his time in politics would still be considered progressive in the States today, and he was in favor of being a lot more careful about relations with the Soviet Union and not brazenly angering them (basically a smarter alternative to Truman's approach). Because of his progressive policies, corporations conspired to make sure he lost the vice-presidential candidate selection to Harry Truman.

There was a free trade agreement in 1995 called GATT, it was dissolved to the WTO (World Trade Agreement) that literally sold out our jobs, many millions of jobs were shut down in the US and moved to China for the slave labor benefits. It devastated the working classes, When Trump was a candidate he acknowledged the damage to jobs that agreement had on the US many millions of Americans struggles and slid into poverty. Part of the reason there are so many homeless, we lost our job markets. Every American should be aware of this agreement because it is affecting all of our lives. It is a monster and not good for the citizenry. There are videos about it on C-Span.
The problem is our labor costs are higher than Asia China slave labor, the incentives to the wealthy give them enough profit leeway that they would bring their mfg jobs back to the US for American workers. President Trump was making deals to bring the jobs back to the US.
Trump got us to be energy independent.
Rebuilt the military back to safety standard.
Addressed the issues at the VA.
Influenced middle east enemies to talk.
Many other things. Then, I realized Bernie was a Senator during the GATT vote and saw a video of him speaking against GATT with the talking points in my paragraph, so he knows why people support Trump and he's on the finance committee so aware of the deals with the wealthy and imo he's acting like he doesn't know, he's been politics a very long time and savvy. Why would act, I would only presume to keep the young people against the opposition. The art of Politics and keeping power and control over a segment of voters who will support you. I don't personally know him, but aware he is a strategist.

So yeah, the DNC definitely worked hard to undermine him and not give him a level chance, but at the same time, why would they? Somehow I feel comforted by Bernie here. He’s NOT going to let this go.
    Thank you, Bernie!

I really wish Bernie would be introduced as “friend of the show” Because he’s always been a great friend of the people. I’m not American but I just love that man.

@@philosophicaldudeman Yes he really has shown that. He sees people as humans and not by their religion or skin color first. Then no matter what you look like or ones religious beliefs he loves them all equally. The care and health of the people is his number one priority. Just such a smart man.

I’ve loved Sanders since I took off the blinders and actually listened to what he says, but I’ve legit never seen him this pissed off - it should tell us something about the grave seriousness of what’s happening in this country today. Listen to this man.

While it is true that he would be an amazing president, head of the budget committee is nothing to sneeze at! The man will be able to give voice to a lot of Progressives. At least we are getting that much out of the deal.

@@jimatsydney I would rather have freedom over security personally. Once you lose your freedoms, you do not get them back. This is how I see it (libertarian by the way). With the left, you give the government your money, your power, and your rights to choose, and in return they give you whatever form of security they see fit(healthcare, police, etc.) that is within their budget even if it takes away your rights(guns, private insurance, etc.). From the right, you give the corporations money, time, effort, and they give you the same, but the government doesn't take away your rights and leaves it up to the corporations that you work for to give you your health insurance, money, livelihood and the likes. Its a very odd balance because you don't want to give corporations full authority over everything because (since its all money based) they will walk over the average person paying them nothing and offer them no benefits, but you also don't want the government to have complete control over that either, like if I were to start a business and put my whole life into it, i should be able to run it how i want, as long as it doesn't infringe on my employees right to life liberty and happiness. So in all honesty it is a balance of profitability, and peoples rights. Which do you think would be better? A government in which you have little say over, or a business owner, when you can pick and choose where you work? I really don't have the answer, but I know that I'm not too fond of giving the money I work for to the government I didn't ask for, and it goes both ways, like I said before, I'm not fond of working for a place that doesn't pay me enough or doesn't give me the insurance that I need either.
