Yeah but he doesn't have the ratings. It's all about the ratings!!!
Bernie Sanders is the greatest president the United States has never had.
Ummm. Okay.
Here here.
Sadly, Sanders isn't the first who should've been president: from 1941-1944, the vice-president was Henry A. Wallace. Previously, he was Secretary of Agriculture, during which he made a ton of reforms that vastly improved the lives of farmers during the Great Depression. Many of the policies that he championed during his time in politics would still be considered progressive in the States today, and he was in favor of being a lot more careful about relations with the Soviet Union and not brazenly angering them (basically a smarter alternative to Truman's approach). Because of his progressive policies, corporations conspired to make sure he lost the vice-presidential candidate selection to Harry Truman.
@@n.tijerina8477 Joe isn’t good enough for ya?
@@loopy6145 No, he isn't. No one voted for Joe because they thought he was good; they voted to remove the fascist and hopefully see something actually get done regarding COVID.
I love how, after electing Biden, we run over to Bernie handing him a stack of papers with our concerns. Saying “I know you’re not president but PLEASE DO WHAT YOU CAN”
So true!
His answer: "Blah blah blah, a bunch of crap that sounds populist but like my multi decade record shows... I get very little done but I sound good". He is no different than any of them. FUCk them all. DO you actually think Bernie survived this long in politics without being............................. corrupted in some way? Oh naive little child.
Biden leads by knowing who to delegate to. Sure, he gets the credit. But hopefully the people will finally benifit.
Sanders has already said he would help Biden when asked.
Biden's administration is already dropping the ball on passing desperately needed COVID relief. Doh!

America listen to Bernie! Ur 'Conservatism' is a dinosaur!
@@MO_Disk: Actually, an independent, it's doesn't matter who I prefer in this issue. In the video, Bernie said about Trump, (paraphrasing) Why do so many people still support Trump, he's a liar, he made the rich more wealthy, etc. Then, he was looking kind of baffled, it looked sincere.
I thought he really doesn't know. I was going to reply with a little paragraph. I know why people support Trump, he's an Americanist that is prioritizing the American working classes for jobs.
There was a free trade agreement in 1995 called GATT, it was dissolved to the WTO (World Trade Agreement) that literally sold out our jobs, many millions of jobs were shut down in the US and moved to China for the slave labor benefits. It devastated the working classes, When Trump was a candidate he acknowledged the damage to jobs that agreement had on the US many millions of Americans struggles and slid into poverty. Part of the reason there are so many homeless, we lost our job markets. Every American should be aware of this agreement because it is affecting all of our lives. It is a monster and not good for the citizenry. There are videos about it on C-Span.
The problem is our labor costs are higher than Asia China slave labor, the incentives to the wealthy give them enough profit leeway that they would bring their mfg jobs back to the US for American workers. President Trump was making deals to bring the jobs back to the US.
Trump got us to be energy independent.
Rebuilt the military back to safety standard.
Addressed the issues at the VA.
Influenced middle east enemies to talk.
Many other things. Then, I realized Bernie was a Senator during the GATT vote and saw a video of him speaking against GATT with the talking points in my paragraph, so he knows why people support Trump and he's on the finance committee so aware of the deals with the wealthy and imo he's acting like he doesn't know, he's been politics a very long time and savvy. Why would act, I would only presume to keep the young people against the opposition. The art of Politics and keeping power and control over a segment of voters who will support you. I don't personally know him, but aware he is a strategist.

Seriously, I know a guy who hates this guy because "he's never had a real job" 🙄
This old man has been fighting for the American people for decades.
They do deserve Bernie , they just don’t see it....yet life will be much better in so many important ways😊
people should get it done, I love Bernie, but as long as people won't be in a real democracy, meaning writing and voting their own laws, they'll be the slaves of the same masters, of those who write the laws for them, and i'm not talking about the capitol but more about the capital ;) The financiers are on top of this pyramidal autoritarian system.
The wise and the fearless Bernie....let’s be grateful for peace and people who cultivate it.
thanks for going to the Federalist Papers. I read that exact quote to my wife a few days ago. FP contains a lot of great forethought of our constitution. Teach in all schools!!!
I love Bernie Sanders, he truly cares about the American people.
I used to think that... but that ended in 2016... cause im not a simp for politicians.

Asé A’ho Amén
Too bad we can't take 20 years off Bernie's age and have him run in 2024. I truly hope that I meet Bernie in heaven, 'cause I really want to get to know him. I just love how he cuts to the chase and lays it on the table without apology! He makes most politicians just look like blathering fools!
Oh thank you so much for having Bernie Sanders on your show Stephen! Breath! Of!! Fresh!!! Air!!!!😊
He's the man, man of integrity, honesty, courage, and magnanimity. He's a sane man in insane world.
Oh man that's such a good quote. I might use this in discussions later. Thank you!
Apart from taking money to dip out of the race twice. He plays the role well, but he is fake as

@@OC1621. I agree that people in America are like this. But we need to set a new precedent moving forward. We must hold people accountable for what they say. We must take responsibility for what our friends and family say to us and speak up when they are doing the morally wrong thing by spreading hate. Peace and love will save us all.
“We hear your pain, and we’re going to respond in a bold manner.” So simple, but so necessary to hear. Thank you, Bernie. We need you.
Unfortunately he said "congress" needs to. Bernie is already on board, but he can't do it alone.
Can we please not give govt. money to rich people and esp. the retired rich. People with kids who have never gotten welfare are in need, lost income due to covid. Broad spectrum payouts are ridiculous, zero in on those who really need help. I don't know if that is really possible but I hope so.
yes!! Be bold dems. Now is the time to do this. We have 2 years at least.
I suspect joe Biden might have dementia later in term he is getting old that’s what I worry about
@@Stalkergames916 lol getting old does not equate to dementia. The estimated proportion of the general population aged 60 and over with dementia at a given time is between 5-8%. I don't know why that's a talking point, as if the extra years he has is somehow some huge increase in chance of it.
I don't really care one way or another who is or is not president, but the point for dementia definitely comes off as a Mud Slinging bit, not an actual genuine worry. I suppose it's an easy thing to believe with his speech impediment, but in a psychology standpoint, it's a little laughable that that's the big concern.
What a tremendous man with such great leadership conviction. I would sometimes just search for all his interviews to watch. When he speaks, there's no uncertainty or ambiguity. He is clear & deliberate in speech and intention. I love this gentleman

@Skippy Skipperson Skippy, you're wasting your time with the same old tired arguments. More excuses for keeping the US in the dark ages, where health care is not a human right, but a privilege. We really have nothing to discuss.
This is what real leadership looks like, America.
He's only repeating what Biden has already said. They're working together.
Why do you think they got rid of him in the primaries? Twice!
America doesn't really want real leadership. They want cotton candy "leadership". Someone who will make them feel good even if its terrible for them.
@@altrag
Yeah notice how nobody in the media is mentioning how that likely contributed to what’s going on now. It’s no wonder Republican voters don’t trust the election results. What they don’t understand is that the DNC is legally allowed to meddle in their own primary races (like with the Iowa Caucus “Shadow App” fiasco) because the party nominee doesn’t necessarily have to be democratically chosen. I’m not trying to defend them rigging the primary either. I just think the DNC is partly responsible for why our country is in the state it’s in.
They are not leaders their only Representatives
😂
Why is no one talking about the amazing technology Bernie is using to track him on this call!?!?!?! He’s moving that right hand like a true politician and no tearing or mis-tracking is happening! What is he using so my Zoom calls are so flawless?!?! I missed most of the content because I was looking at that the whole time!!
$15.00 an hour is not a livable wage, either. These corporate CEO's that are making 200-300 times what their low-tier workers make need to rethink the living wages and cost of living. Can't live on 1978 wages in 2021. The minimum should be around $20-$22 an hour, NOT $15!

Bernie just speaks sense. How can people not love him (esp given most of the people that don't like him would benefit immensely)?
Touché
Because they think they know what socialism means while knowing nothing.
Although these people would benefit immensely from Bernie's proposals, "The Others" would also benefit. Some people can't deal with that, therefore they will "cut off their noses to spite their faces." Very sad for all of us.
Because of very efficient, sinister, neoliberal propaganda machines like Fox News, Newsmax and OAN.
Bernie advocates nothing more than THE FUCKING NORM in the western world. the US is extremely far behind in what is literally our every day to day system in most of Europe. Sad state of affairs.

@@lexlarson Hi Lex I am an Australian and we have universal health care for citizens. I don’t have to fear financial ruin if I get sick like what happened to me earlier this year. Lack of this fear certainly makes me feel secure .... I suppose this is power.
@@jimatsydney I would rather have freedom over security personally. Once you lose your freedoms, you do not get them back. This is how I see it (libertarian by the way). With the left, you give the government your money, your power, and your rights to choose, and in return they give you whatever form of security they see fit(healthcare, police, etc.) that is within their budget even if it takes away your rights(guns, private insurance, etc.). From the right, you give the corporations money, time, effort, and they give you the same, but the government doesn't take away your rights and leaves it up to the corporations that you work for to give you your health insurance, money, livelihood and the likes. Its a very odd balance because you don't want to give corporations full authority over everything because (since its all money based) they will walk over the average person paying them nothing and offer them no benefits, but you also don't want the government to have complete control over that either, like if I were to start a business and put my whole life into it, i should be able to run it how i want, as long as it doesn't infringe on my employees right to life liberty and happiness. So in all honesty it is a balance of profitability, and peoples rights. Which do you think would be better? A government in which you have little say over, or a business owner, when you can pick and choose where you work? I really don't have the answer, but I know that I'm not too fond of giving the money I work for to the government I didn't ask for, and it goes both ways, like I said before, I'm not fond of working for a place that doesn't pay me enough or doesn't give me the insurance that I need either.
