Note: In the video I said the print head wasn't needed to run a copy function which is incorrect. I was thinking of the scan function instead of copy which may have worked without a working print head. - Zábava

I had a very similar printer with the same problem, so I decided to smash it and pour salt water on the circuit board. It made a bunch of sparks with popping sounds.
These printers are known for their failong printheads. The HP deskjet 8600 series printers. It's always the printhead. It's so obvious HP knows about it and it's a design flaw that they are at fault for. When you start seeing printhead after printhead issue, I honestly think they need to be sued if they don't want to admit they designed the garbage that way on purpose or not.
My favorite video’s of them are when they destroy something that has a motor (ex. vacuum) because I love it’s hum of death before it shorts out or catches fire.😆

Welp guess you could say that printer had a fatal error, lol!
I had a very similar version of that printer, the 8620, which also fell victim to the printhead error. It was a great printer until it wasn't. Opening and then slamming the cartridge door shut kept it going for a few more weeks, then the error just wouldn't go away and it was dead. I kind of wanted to smash it, but ended up just taking it to the dump instead.

same, my mom bought us the most overpriced chromebooks on the market. they are horrendously slow, she could've bought us all an acer aspire 5 with an even better intel processor in it, PLUS! you get Microsoft windows 10 and a lot of ram...she was an idiot, and yet, she STILL does not know what HP really stands for...H O R R I B L E P R O D U C T . . .

@@PhonesAndOtherGoods95 The batch we had did, even though they were 10 years old, we just arranged a swap out with them for the next day.
We must have had 20 HPs die for every cisco one we had an issue with, so they are moving to them now!
I had the exact same printer with the EXACT same error and its probably some bs relating to the computer in the printer bricking it after a set time cause we could not repair it and we got like 3 of them, all of them failed within a year and threw the same error. F this printer.
I got a brother laser printer (yes it only prints black and white) however it prints much faster, the toner lasts forever and it f***ing works, I have only had one problem with it and it was easily resolvable for a reasonable price. It also does not do BS like require your printing section of the machine to work to do faxes, and scans, Ive had this printer for like 5 years now and its great.

I am not a big fan of HP. My previous laptop which was HP Pavilion dv2515eo had one motherboard and graphics card failure at the same time. Some years later the graphics card failed again.
The graphics card it used(Nvidia GeForce 8000 series) was know for overheating.

I had an old hp printer with like everything inside of it (I got it used, and ded) and like 5 years later, I smashed it with my friend. It was great, I don’t remember the model, but we got ink all over the driveway. And it was in like August of 2020 I have not uploaded the videos yet, but I might.

I'm sure you guys would figure out how to destroy a microphone in a funny way. You could go for one of those cheap entry-level ones that go for about $30 to 60. Or you could step up & get one of the mid-range ones that go between $100 to 200.
I've heard the snowball mics are notoriously bad.
Shawn K do you use Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere?
I just recently switched to PowerDirector 19 Ultimate. It does what I need it to do. Before that I used Pinnacle Studio 23. I first used Pinnacle studio 15 in 2012 when I started uploading in HD and I upgraded the software to newer versions over the years. It served me well but I do have to say I was always a bit disappointed on how buggy and unstable the software was, at least it was for me. My PC has descent specs and I use multiple external hard drives but the software still refuses to run smoothly and crashes all the time. Finally I got fed up with it and switched to PowerDirector. It offers much of the same features as Pinnacle and it runs so much smoother without crashing.
