Two boats heading in at sunset with a big swell. The Resolution gets a good ride and manages to avoid most off the big swells that have been pushing up the bar, the result of a shallow bar.
In the kindest of ways it has to be said that it’s not feasible nor really possible to add more power to 120+ tons of steel vessels! There is such a thing as “Hull Speed” of boats and with non planing vessels this is one of nature’s forces that we live with. Strangely enough the longer the hull the faster they can go, power to size ratio, then running costs ant purchase cost.
If you are FULL of squid or shrimp your craft will behave in ways you often have a difficult time controlling ! Full throttle can mean a submarine DIVE in conditions like this.

Why not add some horsepower to these vessels? They totally come across as under-powered.
