The game centers around the four main characters-Eric Cartman, Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski and Kenny McCormick-participating in snow-based fights and activities, with players assuming the role of a player-created character named The New Kid (as with the previous games Stick of Truth and Fractured but Whole).
In an interview with South Park co-creator and project head Matt Stone, IGN likened the gameplay to that of a "roguelike". Stone remarked on the deviations from the series' previous RPG iterations, stating, "We always thought we wanted to do that thing where we do a thing in a show and then like, it's in the game two weeks later, or three weeks, or whatever it is." He also remarked the change from 2-D to 3-D allowed the development team more flexibility in how they built the game world, saying that creating a game on a 2-D plane is "really, really hard when you think about what you have to work with.

That's kinda how the show goes as well.
Frankly, it's more surprising that Cartman is not a flat out villain in The Stick of Truth, where he is a pretty good leader. He only antagonizes the new kid if they side with Kyle, and even that's just temporary.

It’s more jarring that in Stick of Truth he’s generally a pretty decent leader and wasn’t even an antagonist aside from when you Side with Kyle. And that was mostly in a text message
Come Fractured But Whole and it’s sorta polar opposite halfway through the game with the Mitch Conner return arc.

Given the two deals they have with Max & Paramount I can understand why it's so short because they're very restrained on time for the show alone without even considering getting the specials finished by dead lines

Ok I can understand why the kids were complaining about the New Kid becoming OP in the Fractured Butwhole story but Stick in Truth was actually balanced cause the New Kid kept getting stronger normally just as the other kids were. Hell in this game we aren’t even that broken we just use whatever we’re given and can get.

Having grown up in a small town that is used to multiple feet of snow every winter, it definitely is a big deal to have it snow enough to cancel school in a town like SouthPark.

I felt really bad for Mr Hankey, and I didn’t want to fight him, but I’m glad the boys realised their mistake and apologised for turning their backs on him, and also apologised for letting cancel culture ruin him. I’m so thrilled that they ended it on a positive note ❤

Butters randomly talking to you as you start the game. No in game explanation like he is calling your phone or something. Not even standing on top of the school with a megaphone. Just video game logic you have butters blabbing in your ear.
Also Eric telling you to hurry over and see him at koopa keep...as you are 2 seconds away from him currently walking up to him. Makes it feel so artificial and robotic.

Why is everyone using their fantasy costumes from Stick of Truth but ignoring all the events in Fractured But Whole? The game even references Season 22 as the major plot point for Mr. Hankey being the reason for the Snow Day. When Fractured But Whole had an episode the season prior?
I think that given the setting, blizzard I mean, fits in more with the Game of Thrones style of the Stick of Truth than it would the super hero style of Fractured But-Whole so I can see why they went with the Stick of Truth style

after beating it ngl I have never been so disappointed in my entire life stick of truth and fractured but whole were genuinely one of the best games ive ever played and when they announced this I was just as excited just for the game to only be a 2-3 hour snooze fest doing the same things over and over again with really easy bosses compared to fbw and the fact their isnt any great characters like wendy or scott is insane to me especially kenny he had like 2-3 mins of dialogue in the entire game. in my opinion this game was the biggest waste of potential in video game HISTORY. Id give it like a 3/10

I like how much the combat system has continued to evolve. Stick of Truth was Turn-Based combat very similar to the first two Paper Mario games, The Fractured But Whole was grid based like Final Fantasy Tactics, and now Snow Day is like a combination of the Tales series Real Time combat with independent U.I. and...Color Splash?

Anybody else refund the game to watch this? Idk about you guys but it wasn't fun and it kept freezing on me during the Kyle boss fight and it starts OVER from forever ago. I got fed up with it, Steam approved my refund. Such a shame too, I grew up enjoying SP since it's release.....

Wish the characters would interact with each other more. Stan, Cartman, and Kyle barely interact with each other. Kenny is completely non existent, and Butters only reading rules sucks.
