Hey mate. Im looking at buying one of these bags to commute to work on my push bike. Just tossing up between the 32 and 42L. I’m going to ride to gym then to work. So I’ll have work clothes, shoes, spare change of workout gear, lunch, bottle and few other bits. Do you think this would fit in the 32 or should I get the 42L? I’m leaning towards the 42L cause in winter I may need space for longer gear too. It’s an ideal bag cause it’s got the compartment for shoes and also a bottle holder on the side of the bag. The big opening makes life easier accessing things when I get to gym rather than having to unpack the whole backpack to get the shoes at the bottom. Any advice is appreciated. Cheers
Hey! I'd recommend the 32L for gym/work bags. The 42L would be a bit overkill, think of a full size carryon bag as the 42L size. Also the 32L has the bottle holder on the side, the 42L doesn't have that. The separate shoe compartment on the side is really nice to have!
The 42L is too big to fit under an airplane seat. The 32L might squish under it, but I find my 25L backpacks do tend to fill up most of the area under an airplane seat
@@biggerweld174 North Face's website has the White one in stock now. I'd also recommend looking at Backcountry and REI online, they have some available too
@@kirbykaikai I went with the 42 ans its perfect for a weekend get away. The bags are actually smaller than the specs say. The 42 works perfect for a carry on as well.
I'll try to get to it one of these days! I haven't used the 32L version yet since I always end up going with the 42L for all my trips. The design of the 32L is just like the 42L except it also has a pocket to insert a water bottle on the outside. I could see the 32L great to use as a day/gym bag
Carry on size airline/TSA limits is 22 x 14 x 9 inches. (exception Southwest airlines is 24x16x10) This bag is listed as ~ 23 x 15 x 10 inches. Since it's soft and if you don't stuff it too full it's a very good carry on. If you're a stuffer then the 32L version would be better at 22.7'' x 13.8'' x 8.7' but you loose the 2 wide carry handles
Correct, I've stuffed it full and I still have had no issues using it as a carry on bag. And it still looks smaller than most other bags when I put it in the airline overhead compartment
For outdoor use and gear I'd go with the Regular Base Camp (more heavy duty). For everyday use whether between work and home or flights and hotels I'd go with the Voyager series since it has better compartment storage, a wider base, and a clothing divider inside
@@justinsmith2530 yeah! It's the perfect carryon. I've used this bag as a carry on for 6 separate flights and lots of weekend trips. Honestly it's my favorite travel bag now. The zippers feel great compared to the original Base Camp and the divider in the middle held up perfectly in all my trips
The material itself is water proof/resistant, but not the zippers. The top main compartment lid does have overhang past the zippers to help keep rain away from the zippers when laid down flat
Straight to the point type of video. Thank you.
Thank you!
Just what I was looking for, in under 5 minutes! Thank You!
Thank you for placing the 32L next to it for comparison.
Thank you! I was looking for a video to see how big it is in person and in comparison to the 32 l
Thanks for this video. Great job. Love these duffels.
Thank you! I love them too, very reliable and they look great as well
Good video! Covered pretty much all
great video, thank you!
Thank you, very helpful!
I’m trying to decide between the base camp medium and the base camp voyager 62l
The best thing about this video - This Is Anfield! 🔴🦅
Great vid man - could you do a review of the 62 L Voyager?
Cool thanks short and sharp
Thank you great video

35l or 42l better?
niiiiiiiice bag!!!
Do you think this could fit under an airplane seat, or would it be better to get the 32L? I wouldnt have it completely stuffed

Awesome review being a TNF Duffel basecamp collector, I’m going to get the voyager 42 thanks again awesome review.
did you find one online? I see them out of stock everywhere

Vogaer 42L vs 32L? wich is better ?
Is the 32L good enough for a 3-4 day get away or is the 42L the way to go?
Curious as well. I’m kind of torn between the two.

I agree as well, 32L is more of an overnight and gym bag. I'd recommend the 42L for weekend trips and works perfect as a carry-on
Great video, thank you! could you review the 32l?

Which is would be better for travel and daily use. The voyager or regular base camp?

Is this bag carryon size? It looks to be a perfect weekend bag.

perfecto alla mecto
Any issues or hassle with using as a carry-on? I see the dimensions are slightly larger than the carry-on specifications.
Thanks!
I've used the 42L as a carry-on on over 10 flights and have had no issues with it. Definitely my go to carry on bag now
@@SeriousMan21 The 42L fit under an airplane seat? Thanks
@@magikalea it does not fit under the seat.
@@PoliticalMatter thank you!
Does it support your back? Or comfy
There's no back support on top of the bag but it's still comfy to me. The straps are fairly cushioned as well
Can I ask what colour the smaller 32L bag is?
It's Dark Sage Green/Balsam Green. I bought it on North Face's website in 2021 and haven't seen that color since though
How tall are you sir? 😅
Can you use it for everyday use?
i mean its a bit big! and probably not practical because tge set up
What color is that 32L called?
It's Dark Sage Green/Balsam Green. I bought it on North Face's website but I think it's pretty rare to find
...and it comes with waterproof socks! 🤣
What color is the 32L?
Hi, it's DARK SAGE GREEN - BALSAM GREEN
Are they waterproof?
