    It's not your average duffel bag. Made from a durable laminate material, the Base Camp Duffle is a bomber of a bag. Amply resilient to be roughed around in-flight, or to be transported up a mountain via a yak, this is one burly duffle bag. 69-litre volume provides ideal storage for weekend, or extended weekend trips lasting three to four days. The new design includes redesigned straps and a separate compartment to stash your shoes or dirty laundry.

      as a reply to this I'd like to say that the good thing about duffels is that they usually are very easy to compress. I've traveled multiple time with my Osprey Transporter 65L as a carry on by just not packing it very heavy and compressing the stuff inside.
      so I'd say there should be minimal issues with the TNF Small (50L) as long as you pack smart :-)

      From memory - the medium should be able to fit most unnamed airline cabin compartments. I believe the large is too big for an airline cabin. But you'd be best to check the cabin guidelines of the airline you plan to fly with just to be sure. Or alternatively give TNF support a quick email and see if they can give you more info about their products :)

      Hmm thats a very specific question, we've had a look for you:
      The dimensions for the TNF Base Camp Small is 53 x 32.5 x 32.5 cm. On EasyJet (www.easyjet.com/en/help/baggage/cabin-bag-and-hold-luggage) they say that their maximum is 56 x 45 x 25 cm.
      Which seems unusual because the TNF Base Camp Medium is usually the maximum size you can fit for cabin spaces.
      You might be best to contact EasyJet themselves to confirm this, they seem to be very responsive on FaceBook.

    Which size would be better for carrying watersport stuff medium or small?

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  Před rokem

      The size of The North Face Base Camp Duffel that would be better for carrying watersport gear would depend on the amount and size of gear you need to carry. In general, the medium size would be better suited for carrying larger watersport equipment like wetsuits, fins, and snorkels, while the small size would be better for carrying smaller items like goggles, sunscreen, and towels.
      Here are the dimensions for each size:
      Small: 12.8" x 20.9" x 12.8" (32.5 cm x 53 cm x 32.5 cm)
      Medium: 14.1" x 27.6" x 14.1" (36 cm x 70 cm x 36 cm)
      If you have a lot of gear to carry or larger items, the medium size may be a better option for you. However, if you have fewer and smaller items, the small size may be sufficient and more manageable to carry around. It's always a good idea to check the dimensions of your gear and compare them to the dimensions of the duffel before making a decision.

      Jaan, I've not flown Southwest before but I do know that I use the medium as a carry on on any Australian airline and they're cool with it. I don't pack it out though, so you can kinda compress it to make it fit within their dimensions. Small should easily be ok but just check with their carry on specs on their website if you want to be 100%.

    Thank you for explaining the missing handle. My Hubby had one stolen and needs to replace it but I was hesitant due to the missing central carry handle. I makes more sense now.
    also... just FYI... the L has a 95L capacity, and then XL goes up to 135L I think, and XXL is 150L.
    My Hubby is a geophysicist/environmental geologist/marine biologist/paleontologist who travels with these all over the world, literally. The only thing about the XXL he would caution probably is that it carries so much it can
    get way over weight so keep an eye on the weight and in some smaller air craft they might charge a bulk item fee.

      I use M as carry-on during european flights (the sizes are more restrictive than on US flights), but I have to keep about a quarter empty most of the times. The most restrictive is WizzAir where the M size is twice the size of the free carryon. I only had the bad full during moving and it's way bigger than what most airlines consider a carry-on.

      Hi Samurai, I actually was able to take both the small and medium on as carryon's on two different occations and with two different airlines. The first was the small on Air Canada and the second time was the medium on an Air France flight. I will admit though, the medium is REALLY pushing it because when full, these bags do become heavy and bulkier, but if one wants to err on on the side of caution a small is fine (although if full, it's tough to get it to fit completely under the seat, best to put up top).

      Yes, but depends on how much you pack it. On an Air Canada 767 it fit underneath but protruded and impeded my leg room. Non the less it easily fit in the overhead bin.

    2:22 well i dont get it everywhere i see photos with these handles so where can i buy a bag like in the Video?

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  Před 5 lety +1

      It's really hard to say actually, because TNF have removed them and after some feedback from others they put the handles back in. I'd say best option is to contact the store you're thinking of purchasing the duffel from and ask specifically about the haul handles and also the confusion surrounding that issue. I think that's your best option of finding out.
      - Hope that helps!

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  Před rokem +2

      The North Face Base Camp Duffle Range is known for its durable construction and high-quality materials. The seams of The North Face Base Camp Duffle bags are typically stitched and then reinforced with additional binding tape or fabric to enhance durability. Welding seams, which involve using heat to join materials together, may or may not be used in the construction of The North Face Base Camp Duffle bags, as it depends on the specific model, version, and manufacturing techniques used by The North Face at the time of production.

    I wish they had a black on black version version with like either black or grey writing instead of white. Black or grey makes it more subtle instead of white “THE NORTH FACEE”
    You should’ve wore the bags on your back, I’d love to see how the bigger versions look as a backpack😂

  • @haignahabed9708

    I bought the small version but i realized these don't come with a shoulder strap. I was sooooo annoyed as i want to wear this as a duffle bag not a backpack damnit

    • @HappyCheeryChap
      @HappyCheeryChap Před 2 lety

      You can just use one or both of the backpack straps as a shoulder strap if you want to.
      Although not sure why you'd want to, unless you already have another backpack on at the same time.

    • @haignahabed9708
      @haignahabed9708 Před 2 lety +1

      @@HappyCheeryChap i wanted to wear it as a duffle bag not a backpack because it keeps the bag aligned horizontally so my things inside won't be moving around everywhere, as opposed to a backpack where it's vertical and the things inside would move and cause a mess inside the bag.
