  • Jeffrey of JTEC MOTO in Los Angeles, California shows us his latest build, a custom 1982 Yamaha Virago cafe racer. Upgrades include a complete 2004 Yamaha R6 front end and rear mono shock. The bike's tank is from a European spec 2002 Honda CB1000.

jtec is the best, the dunlop tyres used on some previous jtec builds would look great on this one.

your exhaust pipe wrap looks a bit loose. i like to soak em before wrapping and let it shrink dry into place.

Why does everyone make a virago with the R6 mono and not the R1?

Yeah we noticed that too but you only notice it when you're standing right next to it. We really like that color red (and silver).

HID (xenon) headlight -- nice upgrade -- more Moto'S should use HID, it offers the most lumens. Exhaust is a nightmare. I wish these fool builders would forget the fetish pipe wrap. The seat is an complete abomination, ruining the machine overall. BIG FAIL.. Shame to see a nice old Yamaha molested like this.
