- We rebuilt him... now it's time to race! Tag along as my friends and I race my modified Coleman CT200U in the Gambler Minibike Enduro Race 2019. Will Camo Joe survive 100 miles of off-road madness?

I actually found your video on CZcams straight away , looked like one of the more interesting and honest assessments resulting in a great build. Keep the straightforward approach and show some of the Wimpy's how to have fun
I think your engine spacers might be squishing down a bit and letting the engine turn then the chain becomes mis-aligned. Even though it would seem like that tubing would support it well the sides bow out under load. try some solid aluminum or maybe some 120 wall tube instead of 060?
It was cool meeting you there. Your video last year is how I learned about the gambler. I was riding a stock Coleman BT200 with a zip tied governor. Ended up finishing so it was pretty awesome. hope to see you next year.
Nice! Yeah stock may be the way to go! We would’ve finished if I had a spare chain... I had a bunch of extra parts but not that.

The very last part was the best of an exceedingly great video. I'm an alcoholic, drug addict, my wife left me for a time, my best friend stabbed me in the back, and I've lost more jobs than I'd care to think about. I'm now clean and sober one day at a time for 4 years, I have the greatest, most enjoyable job I've ever had, I own my home, and I'm working on getting an old Goldwing on the road. Luckily for me, I believed my 3rd Grade teacher when she told us "You never fail until you fail to try." It's a cliche, but it's true. I believe God helped me. I hope you'll believe in whatever helps you.

definitely be thankful jason! you will be okey! we lost everything during flood harvey, that was an experience i dont want to go through again ! ever! So yes i know what you mean by be thankful, and sorround ourselves with the things we like and love! its why i was watching your grass ideas, it came across while i was searching for ideas on how to make our yard cozy and pretty!

Hey Jason, great video! Good to race against you guys the last two enduros. Tough luck with the chain. We have been fortunate to limp across the finish line each year, but as you know it is a grind! It is so tough on these motors and bikes ripping off 100 miles in the dust, rocks, and sand. I'll keep an eye out for you this year - cheers, the Manly Feller Racing team:) ABG!!

I would so love to do that run! I bought an old mini bike as a kid and the engine blew up the second day. I saved my money back then (unlike now) and bought a new engine for it. I sanded down the frame and painted it black. It was great after that. I did all the work myself. I was just 10.

Are you running a centrifugal clutch? If so you should be able to fit a pulley on the crank and supercharge the motor. You would have to lower compression on the engine to run high boost though:

Great comeback from round 1. As a builder it takes things like this to make things better. Design a chain guard. You'll make it man and keep your head up high no matter what. As a man in the military failure is not an option for me. You got to keep going 110% everything will work out. 👍👍👍 Look at it this way it's not wether you finished the race or not it's did you have fun or not? I'd have to say you and your pals had a blast. Keep up the good work

Looks fun. Is belt drive a possibility? All you would really need would be a tensioner and pulleys for engine and wheel.
great video and life wise insight - get ready for 2020 possibly consider some tote gote drive gear.. seems to me the overall build is stout with exception of drive train....
Check out Red Beard Garage, they do a lot of things to the Coleman minibikes.

I had so much fun at the gambler, but y'all should have brought your bike by, is have fixed you up. I was the guy with the box truck on the front stretch right outside the pits.

Can you custom build your own minibike for this race? I'd love to weld up a neat frame idea that has been brewing in the old noggin for a few years now.

They’re pretty lax on rules. They have different classes for all sorts of bikes... main rule I know of is it has to be a pull start... no dirt bikes.
@@JasonExplainsThings Yeah, its a hybrid... dirt bike engine in a mini. I'd have to retrofit a pull start! CAN BE DONE! LoL!
I just found the rulebook, even if I add a pull s tart I am still disqualified. Its gonna be automatic with a centrifugal clutch. I could make that happen, but I don't want to re-engineer the bike haha!

Where can we find info about theses races? I’m an easy coaster and see you guys do FL & TN. gonna need the rules as far as suspension/motor/chassis etc. VERY interested in bringing some of my builds to compete. Thanks!
I'm not sure if the website is still up or not. Just google/duck duck go "Mini Bike Gambler." I think there are a couple set up around the US.

Ditch the Coleman and get a Trainmaster with front and rear shocks. Upgrade the moter and the drive chain or belt exhaust and everything. 2020

What are the rules regarding governors for this race?
Some look like they’re going much slower then others.
I think they have a trophy for the fastest 100% stock bike. But the main classes are all based on displacement I believe.

We bent a sprocket and broke a chain in our 13th lap as well took us bout a 90min to fix it but we went back in and made it to out 18 lap and we broke again.

They're really loose on the rules. I believe they just need to be a pull start engine. Hoping this will come back in 2022... this year it isn't happening.
