Risked his life repeatedly for someone he didn't even like. But he still had love for him, and was willing to give his all for him. His story has helped me seek help, and be a better father to my son.
Brothers in Arms.
💪🏿💪🏿
💪 stay strong brother
Between Eddie Carter and Ty Carter
These two men more than did the name Carter proud lol
You didn't fail Sir. You did your best and that was enough. Mace died amongst brothers in arms because of you.
Fellow Stan vet 08-09. I appreciate you telling your story, you and your guys and your fallen brothers are not forgotten
From a retired veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan and a fellow marine and soldier . God bless you brother .
Ty Carter deserves massive respect. I particularly love how the Army picked up a Marine and he only earned a Medal of Honor in service for them. Semper Fi
he wasn’t the only medal of honor for that attack
Lol
It was Spc. Ty Carter and SSG. Romesha that earned the MOH.
@@gcon.807 Thank you I knew there was two of them at least. Much appreciate God bless
I don't understand why you would say he only earned a Medal of Honor. As a Soldier, he did his duty for his fellow Soldiers. That should speak volumes of honor and respect.
Carter you truly are a hero, you gave Mace a chance and whilst risking your life you did all you could for him. From Britain 🇬🇧, thank you for your service soldier
US armed forces need brave honest men like Mr Ty Carter n heroes like Mace. 🏅 Medal of Honour Ty Carter thank you for your service Sir. Hello from India 🇮🇳.
I wish he wouldn’t say he failed….he succeeded at at least giving spc Mace chance at survival. Ty Carter is a hero and I hope he realizes that now.
The burden he carries is unimaginable.
I was working in Laghman Province on 10/03/09. I heard the whole battle via TACSAT.
Got here via the film The Outpost. Great movie.
Brings me to tears, not a failure at all. He has brought light to and has shown that war does a lot to a person and living through that is super traumatic. He should be so proud of himself that he was selfless that day and risked his life to help mace
23 years I spent in the Army. The position of Outpost Keating went against EVERYTHING I was ever taught tactically. To this day I don't understand why someone wasn't held responsible for putting those soldiers in that position. Full Birds and Generals go to war colleges. They knew better, or should have. Court Martials should have followed.
Thank you soldier’s for everything! Respect and Love to all troops!
You are also brave.. Your didn't fail... You guys didn't fail 😭😭
a fucking HERO... Nothing else to say
live and from spokane makes me even more proud knowing he grew up in the same city im from, thankful for men like him!
If your a veteran and your going through dark times please get help and always remember you always have someone in your corner
The Outpost great film
October 3rd… same as Mogadishu. Wonder if that what intended?
God bless This man, and everyone who has, does, and ever will serve.
Thanks for sharing respects amazing human beings the congressional Medal of Honor the best doing a fantastic job.
I want to say thank you from Vermont because I want you to know that you touched lives all over the us! And I also think you are doing a great and wonderful thing with post traumatic stress, I really believe you have a great thing going! And thank you so much for everything you talk about.
The outpost 😢, you are a hero, SPC TY.
Thank you for your service, you did more than enough for your country and we all owe you a debt. From a fellow veteran of Bco2-12 IN 4/4.
God bless you & your team
Thank you for your service, sir
Good on you Ty
I am thankful.
Wow. A true hero
Thank you❤
Respect Sir
The mans a hero.
This man is amazing. As well as all the troops involved that day. God bless warrior
It must feel awful being told your a hero when you don't think it. I hope he fully believes it one day.
Semper Fi
The fact that their command had to of known these bit and run tactics all at various locations were a test of their reactions, what will they do etc how will they respond. Pretty much oh well they can defend themselves they’re highly trained Us soldiers, yet these highly trained soldiers were outnumbered 50 against 250-300
😢💔🖤
Imagine being this incredible and think you are a failure
This guy seems chill. I’m surprised he was labeled an outcast with his crew
❤️💔💔💔❤️
What is it about october 1-10 that so many horrible military battles happen?
COP Keating Had High Ground To Three (3) Sides . They Were Fish In A Bucket .
82ND AIRBORNE
The best Army in the world...yet we have not learned that the HIGH ground will always be the dominant dynamic.
wym?
What song is that at beginning
Fanfare for the common man
The Outpost.
What a terrible place to have a base.
The Outpost.
Someone can explain me why in the h ...that outpost was in that valley ? There must be an explanation. Any modern army could clean it in less than an hour ..no matter how corageous they were.
The Outpost was in that valley due to the piss poor leadership that put it there. After the battle there were at least 4 superior officers who were disciplined for their shit decisions. Also, the Taliban were well equipped with RPG's. mortars, machine guns. They just didn't own the sky. So, our men were up against a modern army and made one hell of a stand.
Tys son " Dad what did you do in the war"
Ty: " I was there son. I was there"
Me tipping my hat " good enough sir. Good enough "
Why was a FB built in a valley surrounded by high ground, makes no sense
Battalion level leadership failed these men
